I have both their albums! They grow kind of annoying after a while though.
You gotta love the Jazz/Tech music.
If you don't like to dance, The New Deal are sure to change that.
Joel Plaskett Emergency and Lennie Gallant are also now listed on Jams website as playing the free concert on July 1st.
Anybody know what time the Hip are scheduled to the hit the stage? This could be the determining factor as to whether or not I can go...
I have no clue, but i'd guess around 9.
I'm glad to hear The Hip are coming to the region this summer. I've been out of loop for a while but that's great news. How big is this festival in PEI, I only started hearing about it ~ TV ads ~ in the last couple of years.
Of course what's better is I've just purchased my first car & will be picking it up @ the dealership tomorrow ~ 18 more hours! One last bus trip! Ah hell I might just cab it from work in Lwr Sackville to O'Regans!
Anyway I can drive to any concert anyone wants to put on in the region now.
BTW whom ever suggested the Magnetic Hill for Labour Day is a great idea but I have doubts simply because they were one of the openers there last year.

Well, there is quite a big crowd for the festival, which lasts a few days but I haven't lived in a big city so I don't know how big it is compared to a festival in Toronto or Calgary or somehwere.
kleh, you probably know Charlottetown better than me.

Yeah, the concert is along the water, which is within short walking distance to the main downtown amenities so anywhere is fine. I just mentioned the statues of the soldiers because it is easy to remember. :thumb:

Since some of my firends are planning on going to this, I'm wondering if anyone can give me some info on it, to see if it will be worth going over too in addition to Fest of Lights.
Shoreline Festival in Rollo Bay...should be good

Awesome...Thanks alot
Grand Theft Bus, Joel Plaskett Emergency, New Deal, Matt Mays...Thats gotta be a great show...And De La Soul?
Yeah it is usually an awesome weekend of fun...There is also more mystery bands yet to be announced as well...De La Soul jumped out at me too, cool international band to land for a reasonably small East Coast Festival.

WOW! That is a GREAT LINEUP indeed! I notice that Dave Christian is promoting it. I worked with that guy at the tax centre for a while. Good guy. I think his brother used to be in the Jimmy Swift Band as the drummer.

Yep, those are the soldiers I was referring to. :thumb: Well, the comic hunter is a spit away from the soldiers so it would basically be the same place.

Baba's is the place to be in Charlottetown. Spent quite a bit of time there. Great place, company and the food is amazing.

I haven't been there much. I think I was only in there once in my life actually.
