The Butterfly effect. great movie, and Kelso didn't ruin it!
Fahrenheit 911...why isn't Bush in jail?
Supersize Me..I haven't had Mcdonalds since.
Sean of the dead..watched this a few months ago after downloading it, great zombie movie, as was the remake of Dawn of the Dead.
B.E. is a great movie
I have no idea but if he gets re elected i will be convinced that this nation is crazy.
haven't seen that yet. i like my mcdonalds i dont wanna ruin it
might check this one out this weekend
I was disappointed by GWH, although that's probably because I watched it after many recommendations, so I had high expectations.

Badder Santa looked like the stupidest movie ever when I saw its previews and the only reason I even gave it half a chance is because the girlfriend's parents wanted to see it and all my friends said it rocked. I can honestly not remember the last time I laughed as hard as I did when I watched that movie. The scene that Douglas mentioned with Billy Bob and the fat kid is just hysterical. Think of the funniest movie you've seen, remove any one-liners, slapstick and/or situations that seem too unrealistic and add in a very basic diaologue into a very basic plot and that's Badder Santa. So funny!

Another movie I rewatched lately is The Game with Michael Douglas. A lot of people say they don't like it, but I'm not sure why. If you haven't seen it, check it out.
Badder Santa - hilarious!!!!!
Picture a kid on Santa's lap.
"Hey kid, what do you want for christmas?"
"I want a Fraggle Stick"
"What the f**k is a Fraggle Stick?"
Loved Kill Bill even though martial arts movies have never been my thing. Big Tarantino fan though. Is it still cool to say that these days? lol

Kill Bill 2? Not so much.
Personally, I thought Kill Bill 2 was even better than 1.

As for movies, if you haven't checked out the John Grisham movies yet, you should:

The Client/The Firm/A Time to Kill

They're not the newest of movies but they're great; good plots, solid casts. :thumb:
One of the best comedy's I've seen is "Best In Show" Most of it was done with a rough ideas and then improved, funny funny stuff. It's along the same lines as Spinal Tap. Also really funny.

As for more recent movies... I totally agree with Bad Santa, rally funny. Kill Bill 1 and 2 are top notch, I'd agree with Kim there, I think Kill Bill 2 was better.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is hands down the best movie I've seen in the last couple year. Jim Carry's brilliant in it.

I'm sure there's a lot I'm forgetting at the moment.

Really? Sweet! I've been wanting to see that movie for sooo long now, but somebody told me it was crap and that put me off a little.
I'll definitely go check it out now. :thumb:

Badder Santa is funny, I agree. It's not good acting but Billy Bob is pretty good in it. It is what it is, a movie with lots of cursing and funny scenes.
Another good Billy Bob Movie is Slingblade. I thought he did a tremendous job acting in that movie and it was interesting the whole way through.

The Game is a very good movie. I agree 100%. The first time I saw it, I was almost freaked out. It was the most original movie I'd seen. :thumb:

I saw the second Grumpy Old Men movie recently. Mathau (sp?) and Lemmon were just gold on screen together.

I'd check it out for sure. Might not be everyones cup a tea but everyone I've talked to that's seen it, loved it. It's a great love story and it's something totally fresh, I've never seen anything like it. :thumb:

Let me know if you like it.

If you did not see it - go get it.
Awesome movie!Everytime it's on I always sit and watch it.

OH YEAH! AWESOME MOVIE! Love Quaid AND Jesus....errr Caveziel.

The last movie I saw in the theater was MIRACLE which was of course about OUR 'goal that everyone remembers', the 1980 'miracle on ice' right up here 45 mins from where I live! It's a great movie and I think a movie even people who aren't Americans can appreciate. Herb Brooks and his team most definitely worked a miracle! Plus Kurt Russell was amazing in it!

The last movie I saw was 'Calendar Girls'. it was such a cute little movie and I love it!

My favorite movie of all time would be either 'Schindler's List' or 'Saving Private Ryan', I'm a Speilberg collector.

I can't wait not be so poor so we can start to get Netflix again!

One really good movie I have seen in the last year would be a very disturbing but VERY good movie, "Love Liza". It stars Kathy Bates and Phillip Seymour Hoffman, two of my favorites! It's an independant film but it's GOOD!
You want a mind blowing thoughtful movie? Try American History X, saw it last week and was just blown away :thumb:
I have to comment on the Kill Bill movies. I loved them both, but for different reasons. The first movie is obviously the kicking-ass movie, and for that reason, everyone should see it. Great sequences. The second movie has one of the best endings I've seen to a movie in a long long time. Being a parent myself, it hit me right here...

A couple of British lighthearted comedies rank among my all time favourites...

Brassed Off is the story of a colliery band making it to the national championships in the face of the NCB closing their coal mine, and the human tragedy of the loss of home and community and even families being destroyed by it is wonderfully offset by the humour of the band. Pete Postlethwaite's performance as the bandleader is one of the best roles ever, equal parts darkly cynical and darkly humourous.

And Waking Ned Devine is one of the most wonderful "classically British" movies I have ever seen. This 80 year old guy in a tiny Irish town wins the lottery and dies from the shock, and the whole town comes together to pretend he's alive so they can share the money. It's absolutely hilarious, all tongue-in-cheek, and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Great movie...a very different kind of movie :thumb:

A movie that draws me in every time it is on TV (yet we own the dvd):
Shawshank Redemption. Love that movie!

BTW, I bet that Direwolf74 is a fan of the Kill Bill movies
Brassed Off and Waking Ned Devine are excellent movies Big Grin Neil, you have excellent taste in movies, but errr politics is a altogether different story Tongue
