I still haven't ruled out going to this, just a hop, skip and jump from Peterborough..

Do it! Just sayin..
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

Gary Clark Jr is coming to Toronto TWO nights and they are sold out? I follow him on all his social media and I am on his mailing list and these shows were not posted anywhere.... That really bothers me. Tickets went on sale this morning and I had no idea they were even happening.

Anyone get tickets? Looks like I am going to stubhub........... :x
Explosions in the Sky April 23 @ Rebel (Formerly Sound Academy - they have done massive renovations making this venue one of my favourites in the Toronto area)
Rheostatics May 27 @ Horseshoe
Sigur Ros May 28 @ Echo Beach
Arkells & July Talk June 24 @ Budweiser Stage
Additions of Hey Rosetta! in Hunstville in June, and the Rheostatics in Picton on Canada Day.

I just picked up tickets today for both shows at Rotate This. Can't wait! I have seen him play Farm Aid in Raleigh, NC and a small bar with 400-500 people in Frankfurt, Germany. This will be my first time seeing him play in Canada.

Very cool. I always end up passing on a lot of those older guys because I am scared of how they will sound. My only recent exception to that rule is Bob Dylan. Just don't want to miss out on seeing a legend before he passes away. Sadly, there has been too many lately..
Bon Iver - May 24th - Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD - 1st time seeing him, looking forward to it!

Bela Fleck and Chris Thile - May 26th - DelFest in Cumberland, MD. Seen Thile with Nickel Creek on their reunion tour, looking forward to hearing him with Bela, mandolin/banjo player extraordinaire.

Last couple of shows before I become a father in August. Woot!
Midnight Oil May 20th
Lucero June 21
London Souls May 8th
North Mississippi Allstars May 15th

All in Toronto.

Dylan is the only musician who outnumbers The Hip for the number of times I have seen. From the late 80's I would average at least one show a year, if not two or three. Sadly, life got in the way and the streak ended around 2010. I have to admit, part of that though was also due to the fact that he's walked away from the guitar.

But, as soon as I saw he was playing Kingston again, I couldn't pass it up. As you said above, chances for catching some of these guys are sadly and inevitably growing slimmer.

everything just fell into place, i dont work in july and weird universey jays schedule worked out,

truth be told im pretty pumped for femmes over almost above all those bands as it's a bit of a retrobution for me, I was at woodstock '94, but when they were on stage i was in our tent nursin the worse hangover of my life

do you guys have a setlist.fm profile? good way to keep track of past shows etc
