aaronck Wrote:Ryan Adams tomorrow, Rural Alberta Advantage/ July Talk Oct 21 and The Smalls on Halloween. Good month for music in Calgary. I would have loved to see the Headstones, and missed the Pixies, glad to hear it was a good show. I just can't see everything!

Calgary's live music scene is crazy busy these days. So many bands come through here now, it's impossible to see every show. Mostly due to money constraints unfortunately. I would have loved to catch the Ryan Adams gig, but I've already spent my concert budget on other shows.

Calgary's been getting a ton of great shows coming through. I've not been able to get to many of them unfortunately with my ridiculous schedule lately. Still good to see most acts not passing us by completely anymore.
Had my ass kicked by the Constantines last night at the Commonwealth. Great band. Great show. I'm so happy they're back!
Just got tickets to see Asking Alexandria in December in London Ontario.
John Fogerty November Hamilton
Tea Party Windsor AND Hamilton
The Hip Windsor AND London
Alice Cooper Haloween Kitchener
Just saw 54-40 last week in Waterloo
I know there are a couple others but I cant remember right now.
just got back from seeing The Trews in Kingston. Mr. Sinclair did two songs with them, In The Morning and Hope & Ruin.
Saw the Tea Party tonight here in Cowtown. Brilliant show. They've still got it.

One big holiday with MMJ would be a blast! have a great time!

OBH2 was so incredible! 3 MMJ shows that were all killer. War on Drugs kicked things off with just a kickass set. Preservation Hall from New Orleans with an amazing opening set on Night 2 and then the most bad ass late night set on Night 3. So so good! Dr. Dog and Band of Horses both brought their A game for MMJ's night off and then Dawes opening on Night 4 just killed it. MMJ's final set was phenomenal and the late night stuff was a hell of a party as well. Put all that with an amazing Beach BBQ super bowl party, the all inclusive Hard Rock, servers everywhere including the rail mid-show bringing you what you need... sunshine, like minded, fast friends by the pool, etc. etc..... Put OBH3 on your list. Save your pennies... you will have an amazing time.
