The action starts Boxing Day this year. Does anyone watch this even more religiously than they do the NHL during the Christmas break?

Their announcing the selection camp roster today. No NHLers as well it seems.

I love watching this tournament, I have been watching it every year for as long as I've had TSN, I used to live on a farm in the country and we only had an atenna. Can't wait for this years tourny

This is basically a family tradition at my house. I remember being a kid and watching the tremndous gold medal runs of the 90's.

I cant wait to see the roster for camp this year

They just posted this year camp roster..I'm stoked to see two very deserving London Knights on the list. I have season tickets to the Knight's and Steve Mason is by far the most underrated golaie in the CHL. I really hope he shows it at this camp.

And watch out for Tavares and Doughty. Two very young pups, Tavares stands a better chance the Doughty to make the squad but he'll be there next year for sure. He's the hometown London boy!!

Things are looking pretty good in that respect. It's scary to think how good they would be if they had all the NHL'ers that are still age eligible...Jordan Staal and Sidney Crosby to name two.

I was actually thinking about making the trip to Sweden for this tourney. I was at the '05 Worlds in Austria and of all the different groups of fans there the Swedes were the most fun to hang out with. I imagine it will be quite the party over there. Unfortunately I just couldn't make it work economically this time...I've got my sights set on either next year's juniors in The Czech Republic, or the '09 Worlds in Switzerland.

with Carey Price in net, and Marc Staal, Luc Bourdon Kristopher Letang, and Ryan Parent on the blueline, Canada should have a pretty good shot at making it a three-peat! :jump

First cuts just announced

It's nice to see the two highly touted young guys, Espositio and Tavares get cut, while London Knights star, same age as Esposito, is still alive. He had 3 points in there scrimmage game last night!!

Bad luck for other knights representative, Steve Mason, who got got run over in their blowout win against Windsor the night before leaving for camp, and has since suffered from a concussion. He wasn't cut today, but chances are after only playing half the camp, he'll be sent home tomorow!!

Still looks like a strong team!!

Goaltenders Jonathan Bernier (Lewiston Maineiacs) and Steve Mason (London Knights).

Defencemen Dustin Kohn (Brandon Wheat Kings) and Brendan Mikkelson (Vancouver Giants).

Forwards Claude Giroux (Gatineau Olympiques) and Cody Bass (Mississauga IceDogs).

Very big game today to start things off for the Canadians. Might be their biggest challenge. Here's to a 3-peat! Happy Holidays everyone.
