am i the only one thinking this show was totally poorly produced and presented..for the final of this so called "everybody's talking about it" show, i think it came off as amateur and weak...poor hosts, lousy execution..., barely mention fox coming in at 2nd, reveal the winner, and boom..it's over...nothing...all that b.s during the show could have been put to better use

I thought it was bush league to have everybody taking jabs at all the other candidates... "Everybody sucks but my guy, and here's why!"
I mean, if you really want to bash Terry Fox in order to make a case for Don Cherry: be my guest. But I think you're only doing a fine job of making a fool of yerself.
It was far too adversarial.
My guy lost, a deserving guy won... now watch as Jack Layton gloats about it in the House.

I totally agree with you! I couldn't believe how heated the debates got the other night. I had assumed that this whole concept would be to celebrate some great people in Canadian history - not turn into a bash fest. Most of them came off looking like an ass. I thought Justin Trudeau was either going to have a brain aneurysm or take someone out! The paper today said that 4000 schools across the country were tapped into this...but how much did they really learn? In my opinion the whole competition aspect was ridiculous in the first place. It's like CBC was trying too hard to be "cool". Just my two cents...
