Has anyone pre-ordered it?

Conldn't take it anymore, I had to pre order. Fear of missing out. I wonder what I will get.

Almost certainly digital as well. Other bands have done free (for a time) download, and vinyl if you want to own a physical thing. Probably not worth selling CDs anymore.

Also, on the Amazon Dougie Stardust listing, the band is "Tragically Hip". On all previous releases the band is listed as "THE Tragically Hip". Think that's an indication it isn't official? Like, if it was coming through the proper channel, the info would be consistent with previous releases?

Some of the links do have it listed properly, like this one. And if you scroll further down it even shows it as a Universal Canada release:

I work at a Radio Station and have been informed by Universal that nothing is being released on Friday

thinking the same thing , but still hesitant about pulling the trigger.....

I do not understand why the facebook group would delete messages about it instead of clarifying that there is nothing being released and its a mistake?

My guess is someone from Universal probably screwed up and sent out information prematurely. The fact that the Hip camp keeps deleting people's Facebook posts and denying it to radio stations tells me that they're obviously trying to keep something under wraps. But what's really sad is how obsessed I've become this week with finding out the truth, lol. I'm such a nerd.

Since the Hip haven't mentioned anything about this yet, I think it's safe to assume that we're all gonna wake up on Friday to a whole lotta nothing. Hopefully we'll at least get something official from the Hip on Friday in regards to a street date, and maybe some pre-order information. Knowing how slow this band usually operates when it comes to album roll-outs, I wouldn't be surprised at all if we have to wait until the summer to get our hands on it. I've learned over the years to never to get my hopes up when it comes to this band. Remember Live from the Vault and the Hip Club? So disappointing.

Since a lack of information causes a vacuum that is inevitably filled by speculation, I offer the following:

I remember a "behind the scenes" video from the recording sessions for WATS / NFPA. I forget which.

At any rate, it featured a song that did not make it on to any album. I believe it did involve stars falling...I wonder if there is any connection. +2 to anyone who can correctly identify and find the video I am talking about.
