WTF ??????????????
This will potentially be the first new album released by the band since I've been a fiend.....Im ready for new music and tours
I'm still skeptical. TTH have become known for their long roll-out plans for records, incl. preview shows, singles, etc. Perhaps this is Kevin Drew's doing but I don't see a surprise new Hip record taking the world by storm as has been the case with other artists.

Either way, I've reached out to Hip's management/publicity to see if there's anything to this.

I agree, the title is awful. That being said, I thought Music@Work was a terrible title as well, and that record turned out to be pretty good. So ya never know.

Fair point. I guess we shall see on Friday. :what
I asked someone semi-close, and then they asked me what the hell I was talking about.

Just throwing it out there. Being the guys are huge Bowie fans and this news coming just after his passing.............think there is any chance they have maybe slapped together a tribute album with all proceeds going to cancer research or something? Wouldn't be the first an artists has done something similar.
I thought that myself.... should no soon enough

Still wondering what the hell , or who the hell "dougie" refers to ??

Obviously Doug Gilmour.
Just heard back from The Hip's reps at Universal. They confirmed there is no album being released this week and that any listing is "Completely false in every respect."

Ok, so there's another band out there called The Tragically Hip who have a listing for a new record on multiple retail sites? Hmm... Something weird is going on here. The one on Best Buy has an actual SKU:

Dougie Stardust - VINYL
Artist: Tragically Hip
SKU: 30740813
Release Date: 03/11/2016
Dougie Gillmore, David Bowie mix tape. Wish I was still sharp on my photoshop skills.

Either way, you would be guaranteed a kick ass mullet on the cover art!

I mean, if The Hip are indeed releasing a record, it would make sense that the rep had to tow the party line. The SKU thing does have me really curious.
