Greatest Double Album
#16

I listened to the Wall this weekend for probably the first time in 5 years or so. Still knew all the words front to back
(I was a little obsessed with it when I was 12 or so)
Also, all the albums mentioned are great including Wilco, Pumpkins, Decade, The Fragile and the White Album. I would like to add the live Acoustic Pearl Jam from last year, I thought it was amazing.

Also just realized, I own all these CDs, I guess a lot of us probably have similar CD collections

My vote goes for Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, for sentimentality purposes...It is the first album I really got deep into, I think I was 10. I thought it was the cat's pyjamas.

Apparently the Foo Fighters are looking to release a double album soon, best part is that John Paul Jones had a hand in some of the songs, sounds promising, Ive always dug the Foo. here's the article: http://www.chartattack.com/damn/2005/02/2309.cfm

Cant wait to hear it myself

Imagine a world before the "beginning was the word.”

Cool... I enjoy the Foo as well, they were great when I saw them at Edgefest a few years back. Thanks for posting that. :thumb:

I always get the Foo Fighters and the Goo Goo Dolls confused, but I'm guessing "The Foo" are far, FAR more talented than "The Goo".

I saw "The Goo" do a cover of the Supertramp classic Give a Little Bit at the NBA All-Star Game, and they absolutely butchered it.

Note to celebrity performers: if you are going to cover a classic tune during live performance instead of playing your own garbage, you best do it as well as or better than the original!! What a disgrace.

"The Foo" are definitely more talented than "The Goo". Dave Grohl has done so much with the band that's impossible to think of him as just "Nirvana's drummer" anymore.

I wouldn't say the Goo Goo Dolls are terrible, but then again I didn't see their performance at the NBA All-Star Game so I'll defer to your judgement there. I will say ever since they had their big hit with "Name" a few years ago (a very solid song), they have gone nowhere but downhill.

Much love for Decade...but comps don't count. Smile
