After hearing today's SOTD, some Eric's Trip is definitely needed.
Would love to hear them do "Swamp Boogie" or "Monday Morning" by The Skydiggers...
"Dear Prudence" by the Beatles. That would be so mind bendingly awesome! Gordy to do a sweet rant while the boys fly off in space.
I'd like to take it a step further and propose that the guys make a album of all covers at some point. Would be kind of an interesting novelty. ie...Rush, The church......etc.......
Jackson Browne's Running On Empty
Highway 61 Revisited by Dylan.... man that would get a nice arrangement from the hip.
The hip have done a bit of dylan at previous holiday jams, right?

Going, Going, Gone and On A Night Like This.
They also played On A Night Like this last night in Kamloops.
And they played "A Bob Dylan Tune" ...Seven Days at Hengelo WAY back in the day!
I had to look those 2 up... both planet waves cuts, which is sort of weird.

Good call. I wouldn't have thought of that but you're right, it would sound fantastic to hear them put their own spin on it.

That would be a great tune for the Hip to cover.
And yes, Gord seems to really like Planet Waves. He also did Nobody 'Cept You, a Planet Waves outtake, solo.

Just like I cannot hear "All Along The Watchtower" without thinking of Hendrix, I can not hear "Seven Days" without thinking of the New Bohemians............
Just like Hendrix did, Ron Wood made that song his own.......... :thumb:
It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll)
not sure who would handle bagpipe duty - but it would be cool to hear...
Any one of these Stones songs:
Torn and Frayed, Shine a Light, Love in Vain, Not Fade Away, No use in Crying
