Hi guys,
I just found out about this thing you are doing and I think it's great. I would love to contribute some bass if it's needed. i love record and mixing guitar and bass tracks but right now I record using a mic but I want to get a card for my computer. What do you recommend? I don't want top of the line, just something that will do the trick. Simple works best for me... i.e. card goes here, bass goes there.
If you already have a bass player, that's cool too.

It was a coincidence. He's not a regular... but he said he got a couple shows that he was at from the tracker.
Last night was a "get to know one another" session, and then we worked on 38 Years Old.

Nice! That's a fun tune to play on an acoustic. Are you going to record it for this project?
I need a bit more practice before I record that one... The alternative fingering of A minor and the F major 7 are giving me a bit of grief right now... but soon enough I'll get them sorted.

Ballgame, I'm just trying out different tracks at the moment, I'll put a couple down at the weekend and post them. Most likely Bobcaygeon will be one, the other could be anything... but might be Fireworks (Guess which album is on at the moment...)
I scrolled through this whole thing and it took til the final page before someone chimed in to volunteer doing some bass work...at the risk of having too many bass players around, I would also like to volunteer my services and be a part of this production.
Now I'll have to go through all of the pages with the technical information and find out exactly how the hell I'm going to make this work on my PC...these are the days I wished I had a MAC.
If my bass skills prove to be inferior I can quickly move into a Security role...I meet the minimum size requirements and I can do an excellent job at keeping away the ugly girls and only allowining in the hot ones into our shows.

I know many of the songs in the Hip catalogue...it may take a little while to familiarize myself with some of the tracks but I should be able to make this happen. Once I get a link from Chris or whoever is the moderator of this operation I will be able to see what has already been done and then add my contribution.
I'll run this idea by the "real deal" Gord S and see what he thinks of this whole thing...maybe we can get Gord to offer some guest licks on the bass too.
