I never thought anyone would get so offended at me when I expressed my own opinion about what I don't like in a band. I DO think they suck, and that's not likely to change no matter how much you explain to me how deep their rock roots grow. They make my ears bleed explosively. Now having said all that, I can respect them for the music they make and they're originality and the roots they laid out and all that; I can hear and understand where they're coming from, but like I said before, that just ain't my bag, baby.
You keep saying that they suck, but cant really explain why. If you dont like hard rock or metal..whatever it may be, it doesn't mean that it sucks.
Angus Young is a fantastic guitar player, one of the best ever, how exactely does he suck??

Why are you getting all worked up?? I never said anything about anyone's guitar playing, anything about how anyone dresses or anything! I DO NOT LIKE THEIR MUSIC. I couldn't name one of the guys in that band for chrissake; all I know is I don't like what I hear. How much more of an explanation do you need?

Firstly, I said that "Bon Scott" was a pure rock and roller..maybe go back and read it again slowly. Secondly I never said you had to love AC/DC, so why make things up? Im suggesting that you should just give them their due, you keep saying they "suck" but for some reason cant say why.

Did i say i was offended?
I guess it was the fact you said they "sucked".
To me, that means something beyond a personal distaste for them - actually, saying somebody "sucks" very much means that you feel that they are poor at what they do.
Personally, i don't like 50 cent because i don't get into rap, but i wouldn't say he "sucks" because i don't think he is a poor rapper, know what i mean?

THE, are you honestly saying you've never said anything 'sucked'? Something you think sucks can still be held in high regard to someone else; why is this earth-shattering here and now?

And, as a bonus, he died as a result of alchoholic misadventure when he aspirated on his own vomit. That's like a page out of the Spinal Tap script, isn't it? Perhaps that's why I find AC/DC difficult to take seriously as a musical force.
Do I disrespect them? Well, I don't respect them, if that's the same thing. But, honestly, I don't think of them enough to
disrespect them.
Having said that, I own Dirty Deeds and Back In Black. Ofcourse, I own This is Spinal Tap and it's follow up Break Like the Wind too.

acdc sucks now...they used to rock...bon scott acdc is amazing good hard rock n roll..touch too much is one of the best rockers of all time...in fact, all of Highway to Hell is a rock masterpiece.....after he died they had a few good albums, but hard as a rock?? ballbreaker??? time to give it up boys

Look - it's all cool MP@W. I now get what you mean, so let's all take some deep breaths.
When i think an artist is devoid of talent and produces material of poor artistic quality, then yes, i often say they "suck".
When an artist has talent and produces material that I personally do not care for, then no, i do not say they "suck". Just because i don't like it doesn't mean i think it "sucks".
Example:
Christina Aguilera = talented, but i don't like most of what she does.
Ashlee Simpson = sucks.

I mean come on, any 'band' who release a 'song' called - My Humps obviously needs to go the same way as the young ones in the last episode!!
And Blur, god I hate Blur. I don't think it is the band as a whole. Just Damon Albarn. Admittedly, it started with a Justine offof Elastica jealousy thing, but it grew with me into a Mockney hate with a side order of 'World music right-on-ness vitriol.
But I guess whoever said this thread was all opinion lead has a really good point, as some of the stuff I listen to gets a big 'Who the f@#k is this crap' from others.

razors edge for me was the last decent album they put out...i tried to get into those other 2, but it just wasn't happening for me...
