I cheer for the Habs, Leafs are like the Yankees to me
except the Yankees actually win championships unfortunately
Plenty of time left for the Sox to come back and topple the Yankees, make them miss playoffs

That was some kick ass domination by the Yankees this year.
Q: What does a payroll of $208 million get you?
A: Sweet f*ck all.
Thank you California Angels of Los Angeles Anaheim or whatever the hell it is. You made my MLB postseason.

WRONG!
ANSWER: it gets you your 8th consecutive division title, and into the postseason...
layoff that haterade gramps, or at least save it for the habs, cuz you're gonna need it

I'm happy, atlanta and new york are out of the playoffs... that's all that matters to me

Wow! A division title! How exciting! I'm sure Jeter will tell his grandkids all about the 2005 Yankees.
"Yeah, we had the highest payroll in all of baseball by A MILE, but we couldn't even get out of the first round of the playoffs. What a team!"
I'm sure Steinbrenner is THRILLED with the division title.
Oh, BTW, A-ROD RULES!

Jeter has 4 WSC rings...that's a hell of a lot more to tell your grandkids about than you'll ever have chump.

Uh, that's the point. Ask him what he thinks of the DOMINATING YANKEES in 2005. Hey, how'd your Dolphins do this weekend?

Notice that TDC's Yankee domination signature is gone? What's the matter? Embarrassed of the team now that they couldn't buy another World Series Championship?

I can't wait for his Habs one. It's a guaranteed jinx.

if it was as simple as "buying them" as you say it is, then they would've won two World Series Championships this year, hell maybe even three, but the fact is no matter how much you spend on a team, the players still have to go out on the field and win the games...the yankees gave it a good go tonight, but came up just a bit short...i don't want to get started on how BS the call on Cano at 1st was...so i'll leave that alone...
BOTTOM LINE, the ANGELS WERE THE BETTER TEAM IN THIS SERIES...congrats to them, and here's to whoever wins the WS this year, hopefully it's the Cardinals and Larry Walker can get a ring.
THE YANKEES WILL BE BACK NEXT YEAR, BIGGER AND BADDER THAN EVER! :rambo:
