Yanks are guaranteed to put up a losing record against the DEVIL RAYS this year. They SUCK, plain and simple.

And to TDC: How in God's name can you possibly justify saying the Red Sox suck??!?!?!?!?! Which team choked on a 3-0 lead last october??!?!?!?

Mark my words: the yankees will either a) miss the postseason, or b) get eliminated in the first round.

They are DONE.
So, I just read this entire thread for the first time.

I have a question: does anyone know how old TDC really is?

I was under the impression that he was probably about 12-13 years old.

But then he posted something about attending adult education classes, which I would presume means he is at least 19-20 years old, possibly older.

I know it's an unusual question, but I am curious because his posts overwhelmingly suggest that he is either a) a young teen, or b) an incredibly juvenile, immature adult. And a frighteningly anger-filled one at that.

Or there's always the rare chance that his whole schtick is an act and he's actually a Rhodes scholar. But I kinda doubt it.
b)

But he's actually matured a bit in the past few months.
NEW YORK YANKEES (Payroll: $208,306,817) vs. TAMPA BAY DEVIL RAYS (Payroll: $29,679,067)

FIVE wins, ELEVEN losses!!!

Indians now have a half game lead in the wild card race.
Yes! Yankee-bashing! I was starting to miss it... thanks, guys, for bringing it back!

Cleveland and Oakland are looking good recently, so the wild-card might be safely out of the Yanks' reach, but the division may not be out of the question. The Yanks took two of three from Boston this weekend, and Boston's pitching is still very shaky.

Still, chances are decent that the Yanks will miss the playoffs for the first time in a long time... and that would be fantastic!!

Perhaps, but definitely not as shaky as the Yankees' "pitching".
especially not when they blow leads to everybody's favourite team in this thread...THE D-RAYS!

so to answer your original question:

Q) "So when do the Yankees start dominating?"

A) "RIGHT AT THE END OF THE SEASON WHEN THE PLAYOFF RACE IS ON AND IT COUNTS! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOO! GO YANKEES!"
Ah yes, the domination of a half game lead.
Yankee fans can squawk all they want... deep down everyone knows it's coming down to the last 3 games of the season at Fenway. And unless Randy Johnson and/or Mariano Rivera can pitch all 3 games, then at some point the rest of the weak Yankee pitching staff has to face Manny and Ortiz. And the way that Big Papi is tearing the cover off the ball has to have Steinbrenner and his evil minions shaking in their boots!

So true.
you've got to be kidding me? WEAK PITCHING STAFF!?!?!?!?!

there's nothing weak about Aaron Small at 9-0...

Chacon's been looking like the former all-star that the Yankees were hoping would show up to pitch for them (guy just pitched a shutout in his last game!)

Wang is back and healthy, and looking just fine...

I'm glad it comes down to the three games at Fenway, we can end this whole mess where it started last year and shut all of the Yankee haters up for good.

Uh, you think ranking 8TH IN THE AL IN ERA is a sign of good pitching? Oh yeah! That's kick-ass!
I hate the Yankee's as much as the next bastard, but New Yorks schedule looks more promising (and their bullpen is much better than the Red Sox)... they'll take 2 of 3 from the Jays and head on to Baltimore... likewise, Boston will probably lose 2 of 3 to the Jays. Either way, only one of the two is getting into the playoff's, and I hate both teams... so GOOOOOOO Indians. Any team who has an equivalent record to the Yankees, with a payroll 80% less has obviously worked harder, and deserves the pennant more... sooo... GOOOOOO Indians...

it's better than ranking 11th in the AL in ERA...
