You take to the streets shaking a banana at people trying to convince them that it is making a sound.
Know exactly who Ricky is refering to when he tells the cops his name is "Gord Downie" before getting arrested on TPB.
lol, actually one night when i was at a house party i was "walking around with a banana trying to convince them it was making a sound" of course i was in Cortland NY, which is heavily populated with long islanders that know nothing of good music, so they all thought i was insane. Oh well. It was a good memory.
hahaha

I love it

Iskape Izathend
Poets Ardoing
Courage Maclennan
Tom Thompson
Cordelia Smith
Josephine Kingston
Lang Roy (as in Langlois)
and yes, there is a BOB CAYGEON!
I could go on:-)

I would have got it... I graduated from Cortland in 2000! I must say I turned my Long Island friends on to good music.... or they had no choice but to listen to it when they were in my dorm/apartment.

Nice choice of words there

Was on an elevator, heading home from recording. Started "Gording out." Thought I was alone. Looked up. Security camera pointed right at me.
you know you're addicted when...
you have a framed photo of downie in every room.

...Or framed setlists and drumsticks.
Whenever anybody new comes over, it never fails... "Grace? Music? Blow? What the hell is this thing?"
You make a live journal with hip lyrics in the name and/or have the hip as your journal theme and mood theme.
I've done all of those!
I just found a LJ the other day where the person was posting as GD. It was kinda creepy. It was a role playing thing, but none the less, weird.

I have yet to add my most recent "Nashville" graphics and user pics.
My LJ hip mood theme

Not like I can use it because I don't have a paid account.
and my famous or should I say infamous 'meeting the hip' user pic

I LOVE using that!
I chose to write my Canadian history term paper on British imperialism vs. Native land claims just so I could quote "Looking for a Place to Happen".
It got a B-!
The PROF is your Canadian history class puts up an overhead with the lyrics to "Looking" and asks if anyone knows where this is from and your hand goes up after you read the first two words.....
So, is it him or is it me?...
