Or when you go to the produce section of your local grocery and shake the heck out of the bananas! Tongue
Yes, I was very disappointed to learn there were laws against shaking your banana in public...the produce section has held so little appeal since then.

When you are being Gord while rocking out to a tune and suddenly realize you've got your headphones on and you're on a public bus.
When you pass a gift shop and it no longer means anything more than a Hip tune.
when you "air guitar (or in this case, air bass)" to a hip song on cd or the radio, bobbing your head like Mr.Sinclair...arms extended, head looking the other way singing..."and does your family know your wishes, 'cuz this tune will do you like the dishes..."
how about when you have your 2 year old learning the words to Tiger, the Lion....when we get in the car he asks for John Cage...
i'm such a proud daddy

Ouch, not that that would be a bad thing! Big Grin

I have one to add to the list.

You stand in a ditch in the middle of nowhere out infont of someone's house arguing with your boyfriend because he's trying to take a pic of you next to a "corduroy road" sign. because you want the picture because "it's a hip lyric" and he's taking forever and won't get out of the car!

had to pull this one out again

Also, last night while watching CSI they yelled "FIRE IN THE HOLE" and of course immediately though "Hip song". Jenna thought it too, there's a thread about it in non-hip she started:-D

I'd rather he be a stark raving loonie who spends his time on forums discussing his unwaivering love of The Hip and how much fun it is to stalk Johnny!

Wait, that's my side again....

Tongue

If I ever get my summer pics developed, I've got one of me in front of the Cemetary Side Road sign. Highway 7 is around 400 km's long, and it's the only thing I point out to people on trips back and forth to the cottage. What a geek I am.....
