I think the US game will be a more edge-of-your-seat affair. Both teams will come out flying. I think it'll be a way more balanced game with a back-and-forth feel.

I really feel good about Canada's chances against the Czechs. Clearly, beating Sweden means they're probably a good team, but we have Brodeur in nets and goaltending is the ONLY reason Sweden lost. It iwll be interesting to see if they're really a good team or if they merely took advantage of poor efforts from the Swede netminders.

Also in Canada's favour is the fact that the Slovaks held us off for over 20 minutes last night. The team knows what they did wrong, being unable to gain momentum as they were, and they won't allow the Czechs to dictate the pace of the game on Saturday the way the Slovaks started to before.

I wonder...if Czekoslovakia still existed, would they be the bets team by a mile in the world???
