Crash Vegas- Aurora

Every time I've mentioned Crash Vegas on forums like this in the past, I always get the same responses. Either people go "Crash who??", or people just remember them as "that un-memorable band who opened up for the Hip a couple of times". In my opinion, these guys were highly underrated and never got the respect they so richly deserved. Aurora is a stunningly gorgeous album from start to finish, not to mention one of my favorite Canadian albums of all time. Come to think of it, their second album "Stone" was pretty damn good as well. Some of you might know their guitarist Colin Cripps, who would later become a member of Junkhouse and the producer of the Headstones' final album "The Oracle of Hi-Fi". He now plays lead guitar for Kathleen Edwards' band. As for lead singer Michelle McAdorey, I have no idea. Anyone know whatever happened to her?? I know she put out a solo record a few years back, but after that I haven't heard a peep from her. It's like she completely dropped off the planet.

Totally agree. Aurora's a great album. Can't speek much for the second album though as I've never heard it all. Love the first one though. It's great. :thumb:

Every rock fan should listen to this album at least three times, and if you don't like it, then so be it, but I am SURE some of you all will really dig this disc. There are some cuts on here that just kick my ass all over the place.

Oh, by the way....Ginger Baker (Cream) plays on and helped produce this album, and the main dude, Chris Goss (lead vocals, guitars) is a freaking virtuoso.

Yes, yes, yes, and yes!!

I was playing this album the other day and thinking how fantastic it is but how nobody has ever heard of it. The reason I got it was because I am a huge Cream fan and wanted to hear what Ginger Baker was up to.

I know that she was involved with King Cobb Steelie's CD Mayday (released in 2000), but I haven't heard anything from her since.....
