If Gord can do a cross country tour with the Hip, his health is hopefully holding and a second show might happen. I got tickets for Friday but hoping for a second show for those that missed out.

If he's playing with Kevin Drew he can't do a solo show on the Sat. BSS is at Massey Hall for Hayden's Dream Serenade that night. So happy I scored single for Ottawa. Like Chancellor, my ticket getting skills suck ever since Ticketmaster has done the automatic load when they go on sale.

The TM process has also changed a bit with "buy on the map". I really like that feature, but it's sort of useless when you pick seats you want and then going into the spinning wheel of doom while "waiting to secure your tickets" that takes 10+ minutes to say the tickets are gone. Seems to only happen on the high demand shows, but it's a pain.

When Neil did his "fuck the treaty" (or whatever it was called) mini-tour a few years ago, he had a group of native singers do a drum circle and other such stuff for about an hour before he came onstage at massey hall. (And possibly a speaker? I got there late.) It was an interesting (or innaresting, if you will) approach to take. Of course, Neil's actual set had all but nothing to do with the topic at hand (beyond playing 'pocahontas' on the pipe organ at one point), but still...
