Why? I actually like it?

Probably refering to getting back to the raw basics. No plan B - just back to the original plan.
canuckeh Wrote:Yup, just heard it myself, Johnny reveals the album has 11 tracks and as of right now is entitled

"Now For Plan A"

Hahah just kidding - it doesn't matter what it's called, it just needs to come out SOON! PLEASE!
They could name it anything and I'd be happy, as long as all the tracks are as fantastic as "At Transformation". I love it!
I think it speaks volumes to the Hip's attitude towards their music that they chose to premiere the full song on a 'new rock' station like the Edge rather than going to 'classic rock' Q107.
To those who heard the single - was it any longer than the version on HNIC?

yes it was the full song, that HN was edited...

Whaaaat dude are you kidding me? That's a killer title.

Totally unexpected. Unconventional. That's the best thing about this band. They don't keep trying the same things. It's always about the new. If the new is off the wall, then you know what, for a band of 30 years, all I can say is goddamn thank you for trying.
Anyone capture it? Where can I get it? I'm going to buy it on Friday but I need to hear it before then...

I get why they're calling it what they are; it's a return to their roots, back to basics, etc.

But really, where's the clever, literate side of the band? A title like In Between Evolution leaves a bit of mystery, whereas And Now For Plan A is just so obvious. Every single interview they'll do beforehand will talk about how the band is getting "Back to their roots," and it'll become a stale concept.

Thanks for the link. Man, what a killer song! Definitely a throwback to an earlier, edgier sound. And the mix is fantastic. Love how the guitars are right up in your face where they should be, and Gord's vocals are amazing.
Definitely enjoying the tune so far.
Not sure I agree about the mix though, sounds slightly overproduced on my first listen. I'll withhold judgement until the whole thing comes out!
"I wanna help you lift enormous things"

Awesome line!!
