Yeah, I just registered too. I've never done this before, so I hope I did the "rankings" right. Your criteria for points seems fair!

When do we actually get to pick people form the rankings to put on the team? (I assume that's what they're calling "Draft date")

OK 'splain something to me - I only got ONE of the number of Ottawa players I picked. Does this thing work like the normal draft, where every team gets 1 player and then it comes back around? I was kinda disappointed that Hossa was all i got - not even Lalime, who was my highest-rated goaltender!! I mean, there are two guys onmy team I've never even heard of!

Not sure about why you only got one Ottawa player, but perhaps it has something to do with their rankings, coupled with what the rest of us in the pool chose.

If you want more Ottawa players, you can always make trades.

I've got a lot of time on my hands, and I'm actually setting up another hockey pool... I'm trying to get 50 people to join... there's a $20 entry fee, but all the money goes back into the pool in terms of prizes.. there's going to be a website : <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.poolexpert.com">www.poolexpert.com</a><!-- w --> and it's an easy, 25 rnd pool with 5 players in each round, you choose the one you think will be the best... and here's the other thing.. if you sign up 5 people under you, you get another entry for free!!
