daylight Wrote:I'd love to see any of the IVL theatre tour shows released. Specifically this one:
Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium: Edmonton, AB: Canada: 09/25/2002
1: Silver Jet
2: My Music At Work
3: New Orleans Is Sinking
4: Fully Completely
5: Chagrin Falls
6: Use It Up
7: Courage (For Hugh Maclennan)
8: Don't Wake Daddy
9: It's A Good Life If You Don't Weaken
10: Poets
11: Inevitability Of Death
12: The Dark Canuck
13: At The Hundredth Meridian
14: Ahead By A Century
15: The Last of the Unplucked Gems
16: The Dire Wolf
17: Gift Shop
18: Little Bones
19: Lake Fever
20: Are You Ready
21: Fire In The Hole
Any of the ones with the Gems/Wolf segue would make me a very happy boy, though.
YES
If I were to request a Volume 5-10, I'd beg for the following in no specific order:
landgraaf 95 (Cookie Factory!)
Any of the Roadside '95 shows
Any of the Roadside '93 shows
1 or 2 "Evening With" 2000 shows
Fort York June 24 2006
Wasaga '04
One of the '96 Arena shows (BC with the Wreck of the low income housing!!!)
One of the IVL shows from the shows in canada (volume 2 was a short show missing too many IVL tracks!)
Horseshoe Tavern '99
Edenfest 96
I know that many/all of the above are available already in various levels of sound quality, but a proper cleaned up version would be wonderful. I love audience tapes (and our tapers here are amazing!!!!) but it's hard to top the professionals. I can't wait to see what else the band/MAv have in the pipeline for this VERY NEEDED program!
So I'm assuming this will be available for download from the Gift Shop on April 7th?? They don't really mention a release date on the website, other than the various WATS/ticket packages that it comes with. Regardless, I can't wait to hear it. Nothing like hearing a vintage Hip show in crystal clear sound quality.
I'm hoping they come out with Hard copies of the other 3 Vault gigs.

agreed!
It would be nice, but isn't the entire point that it's a digital download that they don't have to press and therefore can release a bunch at a relatively low cost.

As long as they give you artwork to download with the album I dont see the difference, it so easy to go out and buy the jewel cases and make the cd's yourself. I want this to keep going, they need to load up a giant database of shows for download, Im still holding out hope..

Does anybody know what's going on with this?
Nothing about Volume 4 is posted in the Gift Shop.

I just cannot understand this mentality. I have never payed to download music and probably never will (mind you, I never download studio albums without buying them later). I hope someday the Hip will release LFtV volumes 1-3 on CD so that I am able to purchase them.

I actually picked this up with a copy of We are the Same at Future Shop today. They were selling the "Fan Pack" - copy of WATS, LFTV 4, the t-shirt and a 12cd "Kool Krate" (guess 12 cd is for the Hip's 12th cd?). All together $32+tx, which isn't bad I guess. Anyways, I haven't listened to it yet, as I've been busy with WATS. I have long drive tomorrow from Hamilton to Windsor and then back, so it will get a workout. I have the bootleg of the show, so I can't wait to hear it in its entirety. I will let you all know .
I haven't been to the forum in a while, so this may have already been discussed in another thread.... but I pre-ordered the CD specifically so I'd get the LFV Vol 4, and it won't be delivered until next week. If I had known I could have picked it up at Future Shop the day of release I would have just done that. WTF?!?!?!?
I need my new Hip fix!

Yeah, I'm disappointed with the maple music pre-order delay as well. I purchased it off them specifically for the live album, and had I known that the live album would be available with that crate dealie on the day of release, I'd have never pre-ordered it. If you pre-order something, they should ship it *before* the release date, so that it arrives *on* the release date. Bah.
(I have one of those crates with the ACDC logo, and I want one for the Hip now, but I'm not buying the same thing twice.)
and I pre-ordered before knowing they were going to release a vinyl version of the album ... :nooooo
Is there a bitching thread I should be putting this stuff in?

I guess one of the biggest reasons for this is because I don't personally have a computer that can handle a download of an album. The other reason is because I already have a sizable record collection.
