Livi Wrote:I'm into My Morning Jacket at the moment. Awesome show on monday night at the Koolhaus in Toronto. I definitely recommend seeing them for anyone that is into jam bands.
My good friend would not stop talking about this band for months and months now.
I finally gave in when I saw that Daaave recorded the Koolhaus gig - and damn am I blown away that my friend actually had good taste in music for once.
Thanx daaave: http://www.davecaley.com/blog/
And I just picked up their official live album - and that is even better.
"Oh Little Fire" has my attention at the moment. One Match, in particular, is a fun little tune. Also, Neko Case adds nicely to Silverado.
Lucero- is blowing my mind right now. Check out- 1372 Overton Park -if you want to give them a try.
My current obsessions:
Arcade Fire- The Suburbs
Gord & TCOM- The Grand Bounce
The Black Keys- Brothers
Sarah Harmer- Oh Little Fire
The Sadies- Darker Circles
The National- High Violet
And last but not least:
Midnight Oil- Live in London, UK, 1990. I stumbled across this show while surfing around on my favorite bootleg forum. A killer performance from one of my all-time favorite bands. Excellent sound quality too, as it was taped from the original FM broadcast. I wish they'd come back. Rock n' roll needs them.

Stephen Kellogg & the Sixers- sweet sophia
Stephen Kellogg & the Sixers- 4th of july
Stephen Kellogg & the Sixers- milwaukee
Kendel Carson- belt buckle
Dustin Bentall Outfit- 3000 miles
Eddie Vedder- no ceiling
Stone Temple Pilots- huckleberry crumble
Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers- i should have known it
The Respectables ft. Gordie Johnson- sugar

Just found this CD in the basement (thought I had lost it) ....
new STP is growing on me more and more too.
I've had my media player on shuffle so recently so I've been getting a good mix of songs.
However at work I've been listening to a ridiculous amount of Silverchair and Midlake. Midlake are rather new to me but I have really gotten into them as of late. I've been a fan of Silverchair for a while but only recently have I started to listen to them again.
STP (plus Scott's solo albums), G 'n' R, Zep, Velvet Revolver, Jimi Hendrix (Valleys Of Neptune might be my fav album of his, it's badass), Type O Negative, Brandon Boyd...
recently been getting into:
The Arcade Fire, Muse, Cave-In, East Of The Wall, The Mars Volta, Team Sleep, Supervolcano, Refused, Omar Rodriguez Lopez, Jack Rose, The Melvins,
and then for rap, lately it's been:
Reef Tha Lost Cauze, Sean Price (of Heltah Skeltah), Ill Bill vs. DJ Muggs, Necro, Block McCloud, Suicide Squad, Big Boi, Proof, Method Man Raekwon & Ghostface Killah (Wu Massacre), Vinnie Paz (of Jedi Mind Tricks), Cypress Hill, Paul Wall...all of their recent releases are dope, and if you like rap i'd reccomend checking out any/all of them.
