Looking forward to seeing them a couple of times next month.
Live they fucking ROCK.:thumb:
ken tizzard - lost in the awe
Weezer - red album
R.E.M.--Accelerate (I had no expectations for this album, but it is the best thing they've done since at least Automatic)
Dream Syndicate--Days of Wine and Roses (prime L.A. "Paisley Underground" hazy VU-inspired guitar music)
Minutemen--What Makes a Man Start Fires? and Double Nickels on the Dime (D. Boon left us way too early)
Rolling Stones--Tattoo You (blew the dust off this baby yesterday and it is still damned good. Favorites are "Slave" and Keith's "Little T&A").
..........
It's a Dream - Neil Young
Here For You - Neil Young
Hiding Place - Serena Ryder
Pretty Noose - Soundgarden
Across The Universe - Fiona Apple (cover)
The new Opeth album, Watershed. It's good stuff.
Mostly been listening to albums I've been sent for review, so the new releases from The Hold Steady, The Zutons, The Fratellis, Emmylou Harris... some very good stuff indeed!
Incidentally are any of you fans of Eric Chenaux? Only asking as I gave his album a poor review and I wondered if anyone had a view on him...
Leonard Cohen...reliving all the live stuff that is floating around from this past weekend's shows in Toronto.
Simply, one of the best concerts I've ever seen.
What Made Milwaukee Famous- What Doesn't Kill Us
Weezer- TRA
David Crosby- If I could only Remember My Name
Green Day - Basket Case
Doll - Foo Fighters
Dylan's Nashville Skyline.
Hold Steady's Stay Positive (streaming on their myspace, FYI!)
Beatles' Revolver.
Elvis Costello & The Imposters' Momofuku.
I've been listening to a lot of STP lately.
Also i can't get enough of John Fogerty's 1997 album "blue moon swamp" lately, in particular the tracks "rattlesnake highway", "walking in a hurricane", and in particular "bad bad boy" - amazing guitar track.
Jim Cuddy and Kathleen Edwards - Married Again
Great Big Sea - Ordinary Day
Robert Cray - Love Struck Baby (excellent cover of SRV's masterpiece, can't wait to see him and Keb Mo together in concert!)
A Long Flight - Wintersleep

Fkn an A right it is :thumb:
I bought the expanded DVD version with the 3 bonus songs but you can only hear them on the dvd or computer (as in can't burn them to disc or i-pod). That part sucks but they (Opeth)get better and better. IMO Mikael Akerfeldt has one of the greatest voices ever. singin Metal or not the guy is awsome.
Good stuff
