got mine, I like the free iTunes tracks! Since when are Ticketmaster and Apple in bed together? I was out in the van today listening to Sarah Harmer's "Escarpment Blues" and started thinking about what Harmer would play at the show and the thought occured to me that she may come out and play some tracks with the Hip from the men with brooms soundtrack. Does anybody know if they've ever performed live together (I'm talking men with brooms tracks)

Gord came out for Silver Road during Sarah's set at the Halifax show I was at. This was in 2002. I was hoping that he would come out for a song or two. Hopefully it'll happen again this year.

Definitely looking forward to this show. It's almost 3 hours away from me in Ottawa but me, the gf and some of her co-workers picked up tickets yesterday when they came on sale. My buddy at work picked up more today!

Picked up my tickets yesterday.

Me and 4 buddies will be staying at the Fairfield Inn. Anybody know how close that is to Zwick's Park?

Now just have to figure out how to get there... and who to take... and whether I'll need more!

Saw something interesting at 8:00AM when I was driving my kid to school.... people lining up for Hip tickets. Apparently Kelsey's is one of the sponsors and is selling tickets from the restaurant. Anyhow, there must have been at least 10 diehards standing in the pouring rain waiting for Kelsey's to open. Sure am glad the waiting in line days are over ...

... as for the Fairfield Inn, it's pretty far from Zwick's.... the Fairfield is beside the 401 and Zwick's is down by the water... Maquest could give you a better idea on the actual distance... on a positive note, the show ends at 11:00 and there are plenty of bars between Zwick's and the Fairfield if you decide to walk and/or have a cocktail after the show. I'm sure that there will be plenty of cabs out that night as well if you need a lift.

I'm hopefull this may work out for me...

Haven't seen it mentioned here, but I got my tickets in the mail... and it says Row G, Seat 7 etc... Whats the deal there? Was under the impression (and still am) that there isn't actually assigned seating for this.

There isn't. I remember tickets for the Fort York show printed something similar. It's just simply...there.

12,000 tickets sold to date. They are looking to sell another 5-8 thousand. Im disappointed though that the Hip are booked for the following day in Calgary. Does this mean they need to leave something in the tank for the following day....and does it change their mindset with how they approach a show (as far as knowing they need to travel a fair distance the following day and headline a gig). I guess 400 thousand bucks over the course of a weekend just doesnt cut it anymore.

Many of us remember how terrible Gord was at the Skydome in '03 after having performed in Montreal earlier that day....And for that matter, the band lacked all kinds of focus and energy in Utrecht '06, knowing they'd have to catch a flight back from London the next morning. And I'm sure everyone else has stories too...I'm curious t'see how it plays out...

Psh - thought Gord '03 at the skydome was great. The acoustics for the place were off - most bands didn't sound great - but I remember sympatico streaming it for a while and it was sweet show. Glimpses of You're everywhere, meanstreak, and new orleans is beat -- but yeah, it'll be rough on 'em for sure.

Suzanne and I will be there too. Were bringing the kids to this one. Probably going to be camping on a friends property.
