Is there a pre-show meet up planned for this? Where? What time?
I am stoked for the two Ontario shows. A small consolation for the fact that I have to be away from my wife for 7 weeks. :-)
I hope to get some good photos and vids like the ones in my sig.
;-)
One of the nicer pubs here in town is the Keystorm Pub. It's got a full menu, beer on tap, and about 5 minutes walk to the show. There's also a few greasier bars if you're into that. Also, another one is the Brock Pub, just around the corner from the Keystorm. There's another one that is getting ready to open soon, but I don't think it'll be ready for the show.
Keystorm Pub, last experience I had there, was running away in a hurry so I did not get knocked over by the people being thrown through the front window, it was a WILD night in Brockville!!! lol...
Anyone have an address for the Brockville Arts Center? Know if there is parking there?...
see ya'll at the show!!

Not sure about parking, but I would also like to know if anyone can shed some light on that.
I'm also curious as to where we may be able to park. Is there a paid parking lot nearby. That's what I'm assuming to be honest, but I have no clue, as the only time I have ever been to Brockville was to stop for gas or have a quite bite to eat at Harvey's on my way to St. Catharines.
Yeah, so back on track, any insight into the parking situation would be fantastic.
Some of the lots are parking, but only up until 5. I know that the Arts Centre has parking just south, which is part of a city lot. Longest you'll have to walk is 5 minutes.
Oh I missed a lot across from Tim's (the donut) which is another city lot.
When I was there a few years ago for Blue Rodeo, there was a parking lot right behind the theater...which maybe has been developed since then?

it's still there
I have two tickets for this thing, its on my birthday no-less, but I had business meetings scheduled in Quebec City for the first week of february re-scheduled to the 20,21,22....is there any way possible to get rid of my two tickets (6th row I believe) if i cant be there to get them?
I really want to hear Pigeon Camera live. I don't know why, but i've always enjoyed live versions of that song. Obviously many others i'd love to hear (The Luxury, Vapour Trails, Mean Streak, Membership, No Threat, NOIS... The gf is obsessed with Gift Shop so that would be nice aswell lol... My List goes on and on... No matter what is played, there will always be something else I would have liked to have heard lol
i'm pumped for this. The girlfriend is as excited as can be as its her favorite band aswell and the first time she's going to see them live.
It looks like a couple more tickets have been released via Ticketmaster if anyone is still looking.
Is there an opening act or is this an evening with the HIP? And I have never been to an all ages show does this mean, out of sheer curiosity, there will be no alcohol for sale?
N/M the alcohol question, they do serve according to http://www.brockvilleartscentre.com/
Front of House
From ushers to bar staff, Brockville Arts Centre Front of House staff are dedicated to providing exemplary and professional service to all our audiences.
I woudln't count on alcohol at the Brockville Arts Center - during past performances, they have a "wine bar" - which includes just wine. They do not permit any drinks whatsoever into the theatre part... I don't know why, its pretty run down..
As for parking - there is tunnes of it, not to worry.. Park behind, and when that runs out, grab a spot at the grocery store next door.
Should be a good show...
