P.S.
As I mentioned earlier...
"Whatever, I'm not worried, 55 wonderful Hip shows later and it always works out."
Funny thing is; I have always taken this attitude for these shows and no kidding, every single time it always works out.
Something to live by I say.
Enjoy the shows.
Mats.
It's good to hear that everything will work out for you Mats.
Just think of poor old me up in "EE" when you're rocking those "A" tickets lol
MAv, I noticed something last night about the countdown...
For example:
If you refreshed the page, it would reset back to the highest number of seconds again within that minute.
For example, if the clock was at 10:34:46, a refresh would up the amount of time before tickets were available to 10:34:59. (I did this a couple of times just to verify that it did infact continue to reset the time)
IMO it's a much better setup than the previous one where you could just change the link for the file name from "Fredericton1.jpg" to Fredericton2.jpg on the website to get the password early... But it still has a slight flaw... I think I read that you are working on that anyways, but not a big deal, just thought I would mention it

I didn't realize it only holds 700. C'mon! I do like how the HIP are trying to balance supply and demand with business ethics. See, there are "good" companies and corporations, there is such a thing. I am a SENS flex packages seasons tickets holder and as the demand for tickets has sky rocketed over the last 2 years, I just got my renewal application yesterday for the playoffs and next season and the cost of tickets has gone up. Now, for the same package I would have to pay about $400 more and it would not include tickets to a playoff game (which did last year), and the ticket prices are all face value there is no discount for the bulk order i.e you pay the same price as you would if you walked up to each of those games and bought tickets there. So I haven't decided if I will renew or not. But if the Brockville Arts Centre has only 700 seats, that's even smaller than Place des Arts in Montreal or Landmark in Syracuse. The first 700 seats sold at a large venue are good seats so yeah I totally get that. But I still say a paid fan club with pre-parties at the venue and pre-sales for gigs would be cause for celebration. You could even keep the free fan club version you have now, strictly for pre-sales for tickets.
I mistakingly got the ticketmaster link and password the day before - the development machine I was using at work had an incorrect date set (a year later) - so, the timer had elapsed shown the info.
I was shocked when I went to the page and saw the info - Ticketmaster didn't let transactions through until 10am.
I endedup with Row A seats 9-10!!
Those of you who haven't been to the ARTS Center in Brockville - let me assure you, its a SMALL venue... There isn't a bad seat in the house. For comparisons sake - think of your high school gymnasium with a small balcany.
Just curious - what was the password?
This was in the local paper today:
Tragically Hip to play at BAC later this month; Gig on Feb. 21 here a warmup before performance at new Kingston arena

Sorry Kingston, but Brockville's getting a sneak peek at your hometown rock 'n' roll heroes before their much-anticipated concert in the Limestone City later this month.
The Tragically Hip will play a warm-up concert for members of its fan club at the Brockville Arts Centre on Feb. 21, two nights before the band opens Kingston's new downtown entertainment centre.
"They were looking for a place to rehearse and tighten up the show before the big concert," said arts centre administrator Peter Dunn on Friday.
"It's rare for the Tragically Hip to play at a venue of this size," he added.
He was in negotiations to land the show for more than a month with the band's production company, Egg Plant Productions, who also represent Great Big Sea.
That band rocked the venue in 2002 and "the facility gained a great reputation," said Dunn, who did not know what other concert halls were vying for the Hip show.
"I know that there were some other venues in the running," he said.
The bad news for local fans of the Hip, whose hit songs include "New Orleans is Sinking" and "Ahead By a Century," is there are no local ticket sales for the Feb. 21 show.
In fact, by the time you're reading this, Dunn said all 750 tickets for the Brockville performance will likely have been snapped up.
The Hip is playing the gig exclusively for members of its fan club, part of its "thehip.com Presents" concert series.
Tickets, which are going for $50 apiece, went on sale through the website Friday at 10 a.m.
Although the fan club is free to join, Dunn noted fan club members got an advance e-mail earlier in the week alerting them of the concert, meaning those tickets probably vanished in a flash after going on sale yesterday morning.
He pointed out the 3,500 tickets for the five-member band's Kingston show sold out in less than two days.
"It's bittersweet ... if we had our way the tickets would be on sale to the general public so that more Brockville people could get them," said Dunn.
But there is still a chance to get in to see one of the Hip's famously frenetic live shows in such an intimate setting.
The arts centre secured one pair of tickets for the 8 p.m. concert, which can be bid on at a silent auction at 1000 Islands Mall for this weekend's Palliative Care Telethon.
The auction closes tomorrow.
And don't look for scalpers as the band has strict policies in place including not pre-issuing tickets prior to the night of the show and requiring photo identification when they're picked up.
Further, Dunn said once they get their ducats, fans must stay in the arts centre.
"(Scalping) is a personally sensitive issue to the band," he said.
Promoter Michael Chipper of Egg Plant Productions was unavailable for comment Friday.
This month's show won't be the first time the Hip has played here, as the band drew one of the biggest crowds ever for a Riverfest concert in 1990.
"They were just on the brink of their bursting-out as a huge success story," said Dunn.
It's a major undertaking for the arts centre, with three 54-foot tractor trailers and a crew of 30 people descending on the venue two days prior to the concert to set up the lights and other equipment.
Dunn said he negotiated a "reasonable deal for both parties" that will see the city turning a profit.
In addition to the hall rental fee, as part of the agreement, the arts centre will pocket a $1.50 seat surcharge for the 750 tickets sold and 10 per cent of the take from merchandise.
"Even if it was a break-even or money losing situation, the profile and the recognition it brings to the facility cannot be overstated," said Dunn.
He added the economic spinoff of having 750 fans invade Brockville will do wonders for hotels and restaurants during the sleepy February tourism season.
And the long-term payoff to the arts centre, meanwhile, is the clout to land bigger name acts.
"When these people see Harry Connick Jr. and The Tragically Hip and Great Big Sea, they realize that this is a venue to be reckoned with," said Dunn.
"The next band on my target list is Nickelback."

There are still issues with this roll over ticket thing and they will be solved, but all in all, it's a much better methodology because hitting refresh sucks.

Yea. A random number would have been more appropriate I guess. As i mentioned, working on a better system in general.

I think it was "membership" -- right?
So they're obligated to play it now at the show!

Now
that's more like what I expect from Brockville.

Sadly I agree with you. Only they'd have to get Trooper or Tom Cochrane to open for them.
