I can't wait for this release, hopefully they come back to Toronto when they tour. The last time I saw them was one of the best shows I've ever seen.

I read that the other day, Im very excited too. And it was the best concert Ive ever seen, Ive been dying to see them again ever since.
I absolutely love the white stripes. Jack shreds his axe. I saw them 2 summers ago in Vancouver. We were second row center right in front of Jack. One of the best shows I have ever seen. Top five for sure which puts them up there with The Dead, Pink Floyd, CSNY and Neil Young. I love all of their albums so far and am very excited to hear the new one. I hope they come a little closer this time around.

Pretty cool video, very very rough obviously but this sounds pretty cool. I heard on the radio yesterday that the album is due out in June.
This album will be good. I got a kick out of watching Jack sing in the clip. He looked like a diva the way he was flailing his hands.

just got this e-mail

I love the skeleton man!
Also rather stoked about this album, Meg looks rockin' on the cover. I hope they come play vancouver (apparently they are). I missed them last time they were here but heard it was a rad show. Although I need some GA venue, none of this sit down fancy auditorium bullshit.

White Stripes to play Shoreline...
The Stripes are also goin to be at Ottawa Bluesfest on July 8, I'm gonna try to make it out there for that.
I read on that same site the other day that Ron Sexsmith & Joel Plaskett were also confirmed apparently. They usually have a pretty decent line-up, last year they had Matt Mays, The Novaks, Wintersleep, Joel Plaskett Emergency, In Flight Safety, 2 Hours Traffic, The Sadies, etc. The year before a lot of the above acts were there, alongwith Buck 65, Jimmy Swift, etc. etc.

Wasn't it cut short last summer because of weather? I remember a guy I know who was pumped to see Wintersleep and he said they didn't even get to play. I'm assuming this was the same festival.
Anyway, that's huge news. The White Stripes actually on PEI? WOW!

hock: I might not be able to make it unless I want to get fired from work but, man, I hope I'm able to go.
