So far after two listens my personal highlights are Safe is Dead, Love over money and you, me and the B's. I'm sure more will stand out as I listen to it more.

You know why Gord Downie was so great?
He had the same feelings and experiences as the rest of us, and he sang about them in a more intelligent way than we ever could have.
I'm dying listening to this - a number of these stories and songs could have just come directly from my life, too.

Bedtime is so creative. I found myself trying to predict the next words because I could so relate to this song when my son was born. I'm 7 songs in. Off to lunch to listen to some more in my car. The album is quite mellow with no rockers yet. That's fine by me. Just happy to have new music.

What a wonderful moving gift he left us. I have had it on Repeat the whole morning. Bedtime is poignant........so reminds me of the unconditional love of a parent in that they keep coming back, keep coming back...even if you're checking to see if they'll leave you. Totally takes me back to tucking in my own kids.
Far Away and Blurred is beautiful, haunting.
No lyrics included? I got it off of Apple and usually there is an option to download the liner notes or lyric booklet. Not here. Pity because I can't make out some of the lyrics and it would be nice to read them just as poems too.

I got to Bedtime and had to call it quits. Sobbing at my desk. Jesus. I cannot imagine the pain of writing this album. I...God.
What a beautiful thing.
