Thought this was interesting even though they just give the name of the band

After all the bitching up here about the Barrie lineup, it's good to see someone envying us!

Except for the fact that with a few notable exceptions, the Barrie lineup actually did suck....

Really? I enjoyed it. Of course, I'm older than dirt, so that may be a factor.

I'm even older than older than dirt, but there were only about four names on the bill that I would cross the street to see.
And Celine Dion automatically cancels 8 good acts.

My hatred of Mariah and Madonna is much greater than my annoyance at Celine, so for me even the worst of the Barrie show could have been much, much worse.

I was backpacking across China a few years ago, and was in the city of Chengdu, in the Sichuan province (the west). Lo' and behold I spy something of a backpackers bar (which are very very very few and far between in China) called Paul's -- posted on the bar's sign, just below the name, were the words "No Celine Dion!".
I went in and spent the next couple of days drinkin' beers, eatin' cheese pizza, and scarfin' brownies while listening to some good tunes and hangin out with some cool people, expats, travellers and Chinese alike.
Awesome.
BTW, I have a personal ban on Mariah Carey, too.
