I'm wondering what some Hip songs used to be called. I don't know too many, so please... add what you know!
Joe -> Goodnight Josephine
Ballroom -> You're Everywhere
Stereo -> Escape is at Hand for the Travellin' Man

I think Win Win Win Situation was renamed 700 Foot Cieling.....
I will not give up. My face is set,my gait is fast,my goal is heaven,my road is narrow,my way is rough,my companions are few,my guide is reliable,my mission is clear. I cannot be bought,compromised,detoured,lured away,turned back,diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice,hesitate in the presence of adversity,negotiate at the table of the enemy,ponder at the pool of popularity,or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I will not give up,shut up or slow down....Blessed Be!

Locked in the Trunk of a Car was originally called "Dumping the Body". At least that's how Gord introduced it on Canada Day in '92 before the album was released.

Melt could be "Dancer" on the Whistler set list, but I think the song called "You" could make more sense, just for the sheer fact that Gord says the word "You" about 8 times in Melt
Win-Win and 700 ft are two different songs. I remember reading about how they were trying to get a good take on Win-Win (aka 100 Years Old) when they just started fooling around, giving birth to 700 ft.
Stay used to be called "Drake's Cakes" because it sounded like a Nick Drake song.
Stretching it a bit might be claiming that Sherpa used to be called Dante. Dante is the unnamed song from the DFN sessions that has the lines "it's at the point where we love or hate it / We can write it down or obliterate it". Yeah, I think that would be a stretch
Cheers

Is there a specific show anyone remembers of when the hip played escape as "stereo". I have a version downloaded, but the swear words are censored by an annoying scratching sound.

pretty sner they did it @ the Odeon- Cleveland 8-17-96, I haven't listened to that gig in some time but I'm sure they did something similar to that 9:30 Club version.......
