what an amazing time that must have been!!! i mean, to go from the sound of the Road Apples album. and then introducing the "new direction" with a single like LOCKED! That song is such an incredible turn into uncharted territory.

this poll should be considered not for the song itself. but the way it reflects as a representative and an introduction to the new album.

I think that's sort of what I'm saying - even though we arrived at different results for voting in this round. I arrived at the Hip late in the DFN / early TATHH period and at that time I never would have guessed Locked was the first single from this album - for the exact reason you suggested. But to your point I believe the song to be a better lead single than Grace, just that I have never associated Locked as a lead single the way I have with Poets or In View or ABAC,

I think I said earlier that Poets is my horse in this one!
