If I decide that I want to "evict" my roommate, what am I legally able to do?
My name is on the lease, his/hers is not, and she/he is strictly renting from me. She/He pays me her/his part of the rent in cash, I then deposit that into a bank account, where my check is cashed, that I have written to the landlord.
We are in a two bedroom apartment. He/She is renting the bedroom.
What laws am I required to follow?

I'm no lawyer but
I think all you really have to do is give her a months notice to scram, she's not on the lease as well so I guess as long as you give here the month to find a new place thats all you need to do.

I was under the impression that the only people allowed to be living in the apt. anyway are the people who's names are on the lease.
I don't think this is a "legal" thing per se. I think all you have to do is as other's have suggested, is to tell him/her to scram cause its your name on the lease and you're the one responsible for the apt.
