I don't think they are out of ideas as much as the corporations who now run Hollywood will only produce proven moneymakers. Remakes, sequels, video games and comic book adaptions are safe. A few small pictures sneak Thur the system but most original ideas are now produced by "independents".

Saw this last night and it is awesome.. the graphics are so realistic at times it's scary. Sly looks kind of weird though having taken HGH.. you can tell its changed his face a little bit.

The first half is boring exposition and cheap shots like killing women and children. The second half is a bloodbath straight out of the 1980's with modern digital effects.
My main complaint is that it seemed really short.
