2009 MLB Thread
#76

Blue Jays players are taking shots at Cito and Cito is taking shots back. The players b*tching about their manager pretty much sums things up in Toronto, and shows why the team loses year in and year out. They're whiners and not winners. Seriously, bums like Vernon Wells and Overbay criticizing their manager and refusing to accept responsibility for playing like dogs is a disgrace. THE ONLY worthwhile players on the Jays are Halladay, Lind, and Hill. I'm not even sure if Cito is a good manager or not, but for the players to come out and not accept responsibility for their sh*tty play just shows their character. Vernon Wells, if he had any conscience, would be too ashamed to talk about antyhing other than what an epic failure he is as a baseball player.

Yup, they should've traded him (Wells) a couple years ago when he was still worth something.

So here we are, on the eve of the World Series...and there hasn't been a single post made, all playoffs long!?!?!?!?!

What's wrong with you people? I've been busy working, drinking, and watching the playoffs, so i haven't been posting much at all anywhere...but what gives? Are there no longer any baseball fans on the base here? Don't stop watching now folks, the Yankees are just getting started...

"YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHIN' YET! B-B-B-B-B-B-B-Baby, you just ain't seen n-n-n-n-n-nothin' yet! Here's somethin', here's somethin' that you're never gonna f-f-f-forget!"

Can't stand the Yankees, Can't stand watching the American League, it's like softball! Go Phillies!

Rockies had a couple shots at them but that Philadelphia lineup is a killer, should be a good Series.

What a great series so far. I won't lie, I didn't realy want it to go back to the Bronx, I wanted them to wrap it up in Philly on the road and get it over with, but there could be no better ending to this season than Pettitte getting the W over Pedro at New Yankee Stadium, and the Yankees winning #27. LET'S GO YANKEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :jump

If the Yankees win, I don't see how any player on that team could take any pride in the victory. You know it's not earned or deserved, the fact that it's taken this long to even come close to winning another one since 2000 is a complete joke. I don't know how Brian Cashman still has a job quite frankly.

Congrats to MLB and all you front running Yankee fans you got what you all wanted a New York title. Sorry for the cynicism but I find it really hard to root for the Yankees (unless they're playing the Sox)(Red of course) , though it's hard not to like Posada/Jeter/Rivera but A-Rod/Texiera/Damon/C.C. please!

I hate Posada after his babyish tantrum he threw earlier this year against the Jays, Nice to see Barajas take a few swings at him. And he looks like a turtle. I do like Texiera though, the guy can flat out play baseball.
