How about that Jeter double as the first hit at the new park? I'm no Yankees fan, but that was pretty sweet.

So just to review, $161 million buys:
4.1 innings pitched, 8 hits, 6 earned runs, 5 walks, 0 strikeouts.
I don't know about you but I can't think of a better way to christen the new stadium
Go Jays Go :rambo:

Speaking of the Jays, it was a great start to the season at the Rogers Centre tonight with a pounding of the Tigers. Logic would seem to indicate this will be the high point of the season, but hey you never know, if we can put up a 12-spot every night the pitching won't matter much at all...

The Yanks were in Baltimore yesterday.

My bold prediction: Yankees will be "lucky" to finish 3rd in the division this year.

oh well just replace "christen the new stadium" with "start the new season" and it still works
And the Jeter hit was just a pre-season game wasn't it? That hardly counts...

^ That wasn't Jays fans, that was a few of the drunken yahoos who only come to opening day for the party and probably weren't even watching the game...

You guys are funny, getting all excited about 1 game out of a 162 game season...
Yankees will be in the playoffs this year, mark my words, and the Red Sox, will not.

I know.
But still....there are drunken yahoos at
every home team's Opening Day who don't go to that extreme. It would be a little different if they were actually
protesting something game-related.....
