Not to knock WC (because I absolutly love that song) but a classic like NOIS should blow away WC easily.

I just don't get all the love for WC. WC doesn't give me chills like scared and nautical or have the "stay in your head all day" melody of lake fever. I don't see why everybody loves WC. It takes the back seat (in a 15 passanger van) to songs like Kids, Luv Sic and Last night. Those are the powerhouse songs from this album. Those are the songs you will be wishing to hear from this album in 15 years not WC.
NOIS all the way
NOIS is a classic hip song which sits on top of WC and pounches it with it's own arms...
(does that even make sense?)

Sense or not, I blurted out a laugh when I read it. I have to disagree with you on WC though. It has stayed in my head far longer than any other track off that album.
I absolutely love the lines:
Go suck some souls, be a reader, get used
Laugh at a funeral or two
And laugh til all the chameleons turn black
Laugh and laugh til you're told 'please don't come back'
Then fake incredulous, say 'I just can't believe!
How'd it get so late so early?'
Say 'ain't life a grand and I'm in awe of y'all'
Then drop into your haunted bunk
Go to your touchless times out where the water's drying
Go past the 'No Attractions Past This Point' sign
It's not that I think they are incredibly deep or moving, I just love how Gord has put this all together and made it sound so great. I still voted for NOIS but that was nostalgia talking for me. Right now WC is by far my favorite song of the two.

NOIS is the first Hip song I ever heard, the song that made me want to hear more and, ultimately, the reason I bought tickets to see them live...
World Container is quite good too!

I went with NOIS for the nostalgia trip, but WC is a GREAT song, and a classic in the making....and i just wanted to add that Last Night I Dreamed is one of the worst hip songs (not as bad as pretend perhaps, but...) and will not be one I'm hoping to see played in 15 years time.....but that's why I love the Hip, cause everyone has such a different connection to their music and we can all spend hours discussing the merits of each tune.....
