I'm having trouble uploading. When I hit the Upload button my browser thinks for several minutes, then goes back to the upload screen without my file selected.
It's just a low-quality version of Fiddler's Green I recorded with my stock computer mic, but it's better than nothing.

Steve how big is the file? wav or MP3? I couldnt upload wav because its too big...it did the same thing. So maybe thats the problem. MP3s are small enough to upload

can we get any updates on who is doing what? Also keep seeing post where people say there are enough guitar players. I say if you want to play something just play it and see who wants to contribute.
Im working on a song now but its a secret.

OK:
I'm currently taking a stab at a country version of Family Band, playing the -5---3--/8---5---|-5---3---1~~~----| riff slowed down with a bit (a lot) of countrified tremolo.
I'm also going to attempt to record an acoustic rhythm track for Fiddler's.

very cool, I look for to Family Band, love that song.
I started a song I doubt anyone would want to play on. or even like the song for that matter. Once I get some tracks down and can tell if it sounds OK I'll give up the name. Till then.....

So after a few hours of screwing around, I've uploaded a preliminary version of Family Band... it needs work, but I figured I'd post it to hopefully keep this project rolling.
On a musical note, I want to take guitar lessons - any suggestions? What sort of class/teaching would be most beneficial?

too bad you dont live near me, Ive had two teachers that are awesome! lessons will really help you so I think its a good idea. Randy Rhoads use to get lessons from whoever in whatever town he was in. He would say you can always learn from other people.
The key is that you want someone who will teach you the things you're interested in. Dont show you over the rainbow if you're interested in learning the Hip. You know? There is so muc to learn that a good teacher can still teach you using your musical interest
