Dodged a bullet there. Really need to step up our 5 on 5 play and Downie needs to have a huge gold medal game cause he has been far from great. Thank you Price and Toews indeed.

Yeah, Friday will just like the TSN commercial where I work, attendance way up and productivity way down. Glad to hear that internet feed is working out.

GO CANADA GO!!!!

[The Darkest Canuck]

Toews was unbelievable, he's the man, i hate to agree with Pierre McGuire, but Blackhawks fans, get excited indeed...

and Carey Price made some outstanding saves to keep the boat afloat so to speak...he looked like a Huet in a Canada jersey hehe.

I couldn't get the TSN.ca broadcast to work for me...they only have the rights to show it in Canada, and even though I am in Canada, apparently my company's network has American IP addresses. So after been forced to listen to the semi-final on the radio, I did the patriotic thing and called in sick today :thumb:

It's shaping up to be another great game, Canada's D and goaltending should be the backbone once again, but it'd be nice if the offense could put a few more pucks in the opposing net than they did against the US.

[Lizard King]

3-0 after the first!!

GO CANADA!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

:jump :jump :jump

[laliber]

4-2 Can – lets giv'er for 20 min more boys....and stay out of the box!

[Valente]

Nice to see Gord's e-mail get on the air there in the 1st period. Said something about how Steve Downie should keep strumming his guitar.

[BIGVDOGG]

FUCKING GREAT JOB!? I Guess he could swear with a performance like that!

[Valente]

WAY TO GO BOYS!

[laliber]

very nice indeed :thumb: :jump - though watching on TSN broadband clip - long Pause clip - long Pause ect... was less then satisfying

I read in the Globe and Mail today that their broadband audience was twice what they projected. Looks like they'll need to invest in some fiber.

I had the same problem with the semi-final. I see TSN moving forward on the web as a good thing though - the quality of the video was quite good and i watched a couple early games online without issue.

Way to go boys! Looked like world beaters in the first period then hung on the rest of the way. Well deserved MVP for Price.

[grimes]

It was nice to see Russia make a game of it and keep it interesting till the end...when it was 4-0 I thought we were in for another blowout like the last 2 years. Great to see the offense step it up today, and the D and Price were solid as usual. Pretty unbelievable that over the last 2 years Canada has only given up 13 goals in 12 games.

[GBV]

99.9% of Americans don't even know this event exists. I caught it on 590 from Toronto, pretty good US/Canada game.

i went to my fellow-gbv-nut friend's place in pittsburgh for the nye weekend. trip included seeing the leafs at pens the friday night. he's an absolute sports NUT...almost puts me to shame in his jock knowledge.

so...after watching the dozenth football bowl game on tv i decided to ask "do you guys get the world junior hockey championship here?" to which he said "what's that?"

it ain't much fun winnin' if no one else gives a shit...
