The Weakest Link - In Between Evolution - Round 2
#31

I preferred the original "Ballroom" lyrics to You're Everywhere (Here comes your country /are you in are you out) or at least got used to that version first, so the song seems 'wrong' when I hear it.

Well said, Killer Whale Tank.

You’re Everywhere is just the liveliest track.

Gord sings the hell out of it.

It’s long been my fave song on this underrated album.

It’s worth another listen, for those who haven’t heard it in years.

Holy shit -- You're Everywhere, One Night in Copenhagen, and The Heart of the Melt going out in one fell swoop???!?!???

Mean Streak, Nashville, and Are We Family outlast those three songs?

More people voted for Josephine than Are We Family?!?!?!?

Y'all be trippin' balls.

Josephine just doesn’t do it for me, I’m one of the ones that voted for it. I love You’re Everywhere though, didn’t want to see if t go out this early.

I didn't vote for it (in my top four easy), but that really should have been the title. It's almost like Gord didn't realize that "yer" is his thing Smile

Killer Whale Tank Wrote:Meanwhile, the good-but-not-great "Vaccination Scar" is practically untouched in this poll - which leads me to wonder (since it was the single) whether some respondents are replying to the poll based on their memories of a barely-listened-to album from years ago rather than really putting this thing on and listening to it with fresh ears. The album was largely dismissed and maligned at the time and the poll may be reflecting that, unfortunately.
Nah, the polls are getting 50+ voters, which are great numbers, and anyone that regularly visits a fan-forum is probably hard core enough to know the full catalog. I'm as disappointed as you that Everywhere is on the way out but the majority have spoken. Once Courage and Escape lost their polls, I was forced to accept what you will eventually have to: Everyone has their own favourite Hip tunes. Bonner's the best example...he's probably more hard core than both of us put together, but he likes all the worst albums and songs

And also Vaccination Scar IS GREAT (tongue sticking out emoji).

Bonner ... you need some aloe vera for that burn?

If loving Tiger the Lion, Use It Up, and Queen of the Furrows is wrong, then I don't wanna be right.

Queen of the Furrows is the darkest of dark horses, dude. It’s darker than the dark canuck and the darkest one. That song is in the night fields and under no moon at night. I wish it luck in the slaughter that’s gonna be the We Are the Same poll.
