Eddie Vedder dedicated Light Years tonight to Gordie

It certainly did during the tape trading days, but I don't think it ever got converted to digital. If I knew where my tapes were, I'd offer up to get the ball rolling.

Just checked everywhere in the archive... Couldnt find it. It does exist though...I used to have this on CD, so it did get converted at one point.

There are def some tracks that were cut for that album
Oh yeah but I'm pretty sure they were encores...what I meant was the album is sequential, I don't think they moved any songs around or eliminated songs in the middle of the set. The PJ album they fade in and out between songs and probably only kept the X best songs, as opposed to Live Between Us where they "left it all in".

Listened to Let's Play Two the other day...

Haven't seen the film... but the soundtrack is def choppy as hell. Not the best flow for a live album... however I think I'm still going to check out the vinyl - because how the hell can I resist Crazy Mary live on vinyl?

Was very sad to see that Indifference and Crazy Mary were on the original setlist for Ottawa last year and then not played.

Still a great show but would have lost my mind for Crazy Mary.

I agree, it doesn't work very well as an album. I have countless official bootlegs that are much better than Let's Play Two. But holy smokes, that's gotta be the best version of Release I've ever heard. Amazing performance. The film still looks really cool though, and I'm looking forward to checking it out.

Are you sure?

"..The biggest hurdle was a question of time. We wanted to boil the show down to 70 minutes of music to fit onto a single CD. Doing a double live record was out of the question for us. Too expensive and too much music for one sitting. We wanted to do something with its own pace like a real live set, with a beginning, middle and end that you could hear and feel. The encores, 700ft Ceiling, Daredevil, and Flamenco were all sacrificed to that end. " - http://www.thehip.com/albums/Live+Between+Us/biography/

I stand corrected...thanks for setting me straight bonner, chancellor & mark. Still, I think Live Between Us has a continuity that Let's Play Two and most other live albums lack.

*second best version of "Release." None will ever top PJ20.

I did not know that. That's kinda heartwrenching... Crazy Mary might be by favourite Pearl Jam song ever (yes I know it's a cover) and they closed MSG #1 2010 with Indifference. MSG #1 was my first PJ show, Ottawa 2017 was #2. MSG #1 closed with Indifference. After driving to Boston, then taking the greyhound with a dozen friends after parking in Boston, we made it. We were spattered throughout MSG, but we all ended up meeting up 'after the show' for Indifference (we had a meetup spot/section, and we all left to meet up for the 2nd encore to be together after the long journ).

Before the subway back to our hostel in Brooklyn, we all Double Down'd and went to KFC to clog our arteries with those sandwiches that had fried chicken as buns. Ahhh. 2010. Retro as shit now probably.

Ottawa 2016 was only my 2nd Pearl Jam show after MSG #1 2005. So that hurts me that Crazy Mary & Indifference were on that setlist. However.... I've always loved Parachutes AND Speed of Sound, so it was super weird that they played Both of them at one show? Like, I feel like I'm the only PJ fan that would love that double shot, and they did it!

Also, the first PJ album I ever heard was Riot Act.
I fucking love Riot Act. I saw Love Boat Captain live....
I guess I'm not that upset they didn't play those two.

I was at that Ottawa show as well and didn't know that. I died a little inside after reading it. Crazy Mary and Indifference dropped? In order to keep myself from crying I'm going to enter the first stage of grief: denial. I think what you meant to say was that "Dirty Frank" and "Red Bar" were dropped.
