I have great respect for Eddie Vedder. He is always acutely aware of what is going on the music community and that was a nice tribute. It does, however, beg the question... if PJ had covered a Hip song in tribute, what would you like to have seen? I would love to hear Eddie sing "In straight lines through shadows..." so You're Everywhere would be my choice.

Good question, I'd say maybe ABAC, i think they would knock that out of the park and it would seem appropriate given the circumstances.
but if i really had to choose a PJ Hip cover myself, Id pick At Transformation I think PJ with Eddies voice and the bands style could do wonders with that song.
Given how prolific PJ is as a band I dont think it would matter what they did, it would kill.

I was at the Pearl Jam show last night, had I not had this booked I probably would have tried to be in Kingston. These are my two favourite bands, it was my 52nd Pearl Jam show. A very special moment. I forgot that In Between Evolution was recorded at Studio X. I think that was the connection when Ed talked about meeting Gord.

Adam Kasper has worked as a producer for both bands

Very happy Ed mentioned the Hip, at same time bummed to read so many covers, but not the Hip, such as Little Steven, Ramones, Dylan, Cheap Trick,...all respectable acts but not the style of music I'm feeling at a P J show. Even my beloved Floyd I would include in that category. But when they cover Neil or MLB, two artists in their direct lineage, it's electric.
Ed, if you happen to be a baser, Monday's show is the apprpriate time to cover the Hip and keep them in the rotation next tour!
