Dougie Stardust?

chancellor Wrote:I am guessing it was originally suppose to drop on March 11th and something probably changed with the date but not all the retailers were informed of this change. I was really looking forward to some new Hip though.

This sounds like the most logical explanation. Interesting that the domain dougiestartdust.com was created in August 2015 and expires in August 2016. I guess we'll find out what it's all about by August of 2016...

Just received word that the new album is not called Dougie Stardust.

Whenever the new album is released, I hope it's a surprise. I really enjoy listening to a new album not knowing what to expect, and hearing it for the first time all at once. Pre-release radio singles end up colouring how I think of the album before I've heard most of it. And I haven't loved some of the Hip's choices of radio singles for the last couple albums, Love is a First and Streets Ahead in particular.

Goodbye, Dougie. We hardly knew ye.

One that knows and would never intentionally give me misinformation. Believe it or don't, up to you.
Can't reveal all our sources though, can we?

I listened to NFPA last night, and I'm proud to report it's holding up really well. Goodnight Attawapiskat is still my favorite. It's all about that wonderful, soaring chorus. Pure ear candy, I tell ya!

I love 'Done & Done' into 'Goodnight Attawpiskat'. Wish they did that transition live.
...But then again, wish the boys did a lot of things I think are cool.

Agreed - I just finished listening to the entire catalogue in chronological order during my commutes in 2016. Holding up very well and Goodnight Attawapiskat is a fantastic end to the whole thing.

So pumped for new stuff!

I don't mind having to wait a while longer for the new record. That's fine, shit happens. But the least they could do is give us an update to let the fans know what's going on, especially in light of all the listings that popped up on these retail sites. And what about the poor bastards who ordered the vinyl? Are they getting a refund? The lack of communication from the band right now is a mystery.

Missed opportunity to do something realy cool for the people who got all excited about nothing :/)
