What's your number?
#61

Thanks Marcus. It was a slow start and then there were a few years of double digits year-after-year and now with two kids my pace has slowed again.

The other bands I follow are (all of which I've probably seen at least 100 times each):

Wintersleep
Sam Roberts
Joel Plaskett

Finally! I was hoping you would join in and gives us our first Sherpa member. Perhaps Super Sherpa is more appropriate. Either way, thanks for sharing. Very, very impressive.

23 Hip Shows.

Woodstock 99 was first and Syracuse in November was my last.

Kind of interesting that most of my shows have taken place in the same general area. Rome, Ny (1), Sarnia (1), Buffalo (12- Darien Lake, HSBC, Artpark, Town Ballroom, Canal) Toronto (2), Hamilton (2), Syracuse (3), Rochester (1) Erie (1)

The Hip are the band I have seen the second most.

I have been to 69 Pearl Jam shows.

My first was 1996 in Buffalo
My last was 2011 in Hamilton
My next is this Summer in London

I'm only at 6 (counting Bluesfest, which technically hasn't happened yet). I'm frugal and don't drive which cuts my ability to see concerts to local and fairly cheap. I'm trying to bump up the count a bit, seeing them twice this year is a (very small) step in doing so.

The Hip are the band I've seen the most in concert, followed by Sam Roberts (both times opening for the Hip), Joel Plaskett, Motley Crue and Rich Aucoin (in no particular order).

Across The Causeway '04 | Big Music Fest '08 | Kingston '09 | Bobcaygeon '11 | Cobourg '13 | Bluesfest '13 | Danforth Music Hall '15 | Kingston '15 | Bluesfest '15 | Toronto I '16 | Toronto II '16 | Toronto III '16 | Hamilton '16 | Ottawa '16 | Kingston '16

Thanks for sharing. I also saw Motley Crue. It was during their Dr. Feelgood tour. Another Bob Rock classic.

Not counting local or unsigned acts (some of which I'll have seen more times than I care to count) The Hip are the band I've seen the most, or will be when I see them for the 4th & 5th times this coming week.

The second is, I think, Wintersleep who I've seen 4 times.

Come say hi on twitter @MattMerritt

Very nice. I'm up to the same number of shows and also hoping to get in #25 this summer.

Let us know when you hit 25 and I'll move you in with the elite group of fans in the "Long Time Running" club.
