Road Apples vinyl reissue
#16

I ordered mine at amazon.ca - got their visa card and it was only $15+tax, reg.$30.
MOV has mixed reviews, keeping fingers crossed, can't afford $100+ for used.

Heard from Soundscapes in Toronto that it's doubtful they'll be getting it. They expected it to be $40+, not worth getting it in. I'm thinking a lot of joints may be of the same mentality.

Vertigo in Ottawa has/had it.

I had an order with Amazon Canada and they didn't get enough (any?) in to fill my order so I ordered through Amazon with another seller.

Dire Wolf Wrote:It certainly, will not touch the original STERLING mastered vinyl.

I noticed that some other original LP's from '91 go for a 1/4 of the price of the German pressed STERLING. How much better is it?

The German pressing is not Sterling mastered and not the best sounding (cut from dub tapes) IMO. The Canadian "LIMITED EDITION LP" Sterling mastered first pressing, is my go to for this album.

Well , I am glad I collected all my vinyl singles as they most likely will NOT be reissuing singles. So the singles will be more collectable if they do a total album reissue.

The reissued LPs shouldn't have much effect on the value of the originals. There are plenty of examples out there (Beatles, Stones, etc, etc), where the value of the analog cut original pressings have remained the same and risen in many cases, after digital reissues have been released.

I'm waiting on my copy. Can anybody comment on its sound quality?

So, still no reviews of this re-issue, which probably means it isn't really bad or really good, plus the original isn't too hard to find and most here probably already have a copy and no interest in a digital re-issue. I have a pretty good sense how it will sound, but would be interested in what MOV did regarding packaging, lyric sheet, etc.
