No digital copy is a misstep. If people are buying vinyl, they are supporting your band (at a higher price too). Most bands are including a digital dnld, or a hard copy CD w/ the vinyl. :?

no worries.....thought this might be another phantom power mystery vinyl that some have talked about but have never seen. has anyone ever physically seen phantom power on vinyl.

When Robby was touring the first album of Strippers Union I had the chance to speak with him after the show and I specifically asked him if Phantom Power, Music At Work and In Violet light were released on vinyl. I know we the fans have never seen them but I thought I'd ask anyways.
Robbie told me they were not publicly released, however each member of the band did get a special copy for their own private collection. So yes they exist, but it seems there's probably only 5 of them.

It's pretty common knowledge that Rob is a vinyl guy and I can believe these pressings exist in this context, because the information comes from the horse's mouth via a very reliable forum member. Knowing what's involved in cutting a vinyl record however, I suspect they pressed a few more than 5 copies. Interesting :wink:

God I'm hoping for vinyl reissues soon....doesn't have to be anything special like pearl jam did (those limited edition box sets are sweet though, but they cost me a shit tonne of cash!!!), I'd be happy with faithful reissues.

They would be great for the coolness factor, collecting, framing, etc, but that's about it. Most vinyl re-issues are cut from digital masters that were created for the CD and will NEVER touch the original pressings (sonically speaking) cut from the analog master tapes.

Very true dire wolf...I shoulda included the caveat that I'd like the original analog masters used where available.

From the original analog masters would be great, but will never happen...many reasons...just my opinion. Most vinyl re-issues are not great IMO, but there are some really good ones out there like the Neil Young re-issues (S/T through Harvest), which are EXCELLENT.
