I've been looking to add some Hip to my record collection years for many years, but have found copies extremely hard to come by, especially here in NFLD.

I was just wondering if anyone had info on what albums have been pressed (and where) and what I should expect to pay for each? Also, are there any known forgeries?

I was just looking at the following items on eBay:

I have UTH and DFN on vinyl and paid about 20-25 CAD. I've found RA and FC on fewer occasions which might explain why they're priced higher on Ebay.

MapleMusic was selling DFN on vinyl as recently as last year. Keep an eye on their site as it seems to come in and out of stock.

I am also trying to build up my collection of Hip vinyls, started by purchasing UTH on ebay this summer. It was sealed and all seems to be in good condition. Seems to be alot of self-titled and RA popping up lately.

I found the self-titled ep vinyl in a used record shop in Toronto over the weekend. It may not be the rarest thing out there, but it was still a pretty sweet find. I wasn't even looking for anything Hip related, which made it extra sweet. Also the first time I've ever found a Hip vinyl anywhere.

Just wanted to bump this if anyone has any extra Hip on vinyl they're willing to part with. I'm ok with stuff that isn't sealed as long as it's in good condition and the record plays well.

Was anything between, and including, Phantom Power to World Container released on vinyl?

I ran across an unopened vinyl of Henhouse on EBay and only paid $25
Then after I talked to the seller - he sold me an opened, but very nice, Fully Completely vinyl for another $25
That is a pretty damn good deal - I was blown away.

It was being sold via "Buy It Now" on EBay for $25 - I jumped on it and paid quick before he may have noticed it was a mistake. But he just didn't know better it seemed, which was strange because he sells alot of stuff on EBay including alot of Hip stuff.
He has actually turned out to be a pretty nice guy - he sent me 5 Hip shows on cassette that I do not have - I transfered them to CD and shipped him back the cassettes with transfered copies for him.

Oh - and to get back to the original bump of a post from a couple posts up - I have always heard rumors about Phantom Power on vinyl - but they may just be rumors. (even though people "claim" to have a copy)

Best deals are free,a few months back i was given an unopened copy of DFN by somebody that did some work for Jake Gold,apparently Jakes still got boxes of unopened vinyl.

I saw that up on Ebay. By the time I emailed the guy to see if he'd ship to Canada, you had bought it. Congrats!

I was in montreal a month ago and was walked into a couple record stores and found the EP for $20. Made me happy (as well as picking up moving pictures for $3)
