If it's anything as good as IBE, we're all in for a treat.

Is Adam behind the board again? Hope so....

I think he is. Gord mentioned in an interview last year that they enjoyed working with Adam so much on IBE that they were planning on doing another record with him. But ya never know, I could be wrong. I'm thinkin MAv can probably answer this question better than anybody else.

I'm not the type to kiss and tell . . . I'll post something when I have the word. I'm cautious with information when it's not from my own eyes and ears. I wouldn't want to start a rumour or anything. . . and I don't really know all the details anyway.

Anyone find it a tinge early for The Hip to hit the studio? Not that i think its a bad thing, but going by other albums, they usually hunker down in early winter, September seems a bit earlier than usual...thoughts.

Maybe we'll get an earlier release than we previously have. If memory serves, IBE came out in June 2004 and the recording and mixing had been completed in February. This is definitely in keeping with The Hip's pattern of releasing a new studio effort every two years.

No it is not early at all.
Just look at the suprise Whistler gigs from the last album.
They were October 27 and 28.
So you have to figure they were recording in September.

Whenever the next tour is, I'm not missing show in my town this time, couldn't make it to show at Civic Centre last year, hopefully they'll play there again, or maybe they should do a club tour and arena tour, that would be fun

I remember reading somewhere that they were in the Bahamas recording IVL during Sept 11. Something about how they were working on Leave on Sept 10 but then due to the events of the next day the song was totally transformed. So for that album at least, they weren't recording in the winter.

direwolf74 Wrote:I think they should have it out west for a change. You folks in Ontario are spoiled rotten. You get to see the Hip 20 times/year, while us poor bastards out west are lucky if we see them once. It's our turn now. NYE with Das Hips at the Saddledome. Now THAT would be awesome.
