It says, "With recent announcement of a new labor agreement, we eagerly anticipate getting the 2005-06 season underway. We will begin accepting sign-ups in August."

Well, it's August, so it should be soon.

Maybe Yahoo Hockey Fanstasy Staff are on lockout. I heard they are awaiting a new labor agreement and will holdout as long as it takes. They've hired Goodenow, since he was fresh on the market, so it might be awhile before this thing takes off :lol:

Well, it looks like it is now up and running!

I think it would be good to set up two leagues...maybe Hipbase I and Hipbase II or something like that. Put 12 teams in each league and set a live draft date and time.

I will create a league to start and see how fast it fills. I will post the ID and password here and a link to follow.

I'm in. Team Caribou. I'll be away on the draft day though. It appears as though I will need to do some building after the draft is done. I don't come back home until Aug. 30!

Glad to see Hipbase A is full...should be a great season!

I noticed some people had trouble with the draft time. I realized now that it can be changed as long as it is changed prior to the draft.

So...it is a lot more fun if everybody can be there (moves quicker, more chat, etc..). I moved the time back to 9:30 PM because some people couldn't make it.

Cast requests here for the draft date/time. I could move it into September, what day of the week is generally good for everybody, etc. I know it might be impossible to accomodate everyone but I want to do my best to have a time that works for everybody.

Worst case, you can pre-rank players and the computer will auto-pick based on best available.

Just curious also, did Hipbase B use the same point scoring system. It would be cool to keep updated weekly standings here to see is the best out of all the teams. Only works obviously if the same point scoring system is used.
