The Hip +

Here are some more that might help Stephen:
1. Gord Downie, Jim Cuddy, Sarah Harmer, Colin James and a couple others performed on "The Streets Where You Live" (2002) in support of the Buried Heart Society.
2. Bob Egan of Blue Rodeo played Mandolin and Steel Guitar on Phantom Power.

It is Gord with what I have to assume is Andrew's band.
Two guitars, bass and drummer.
I am not sure what Mr. Cash looks like.
This show is being torrented right now: http://tracker.hipfans.com/torrents-details.php?id=84

"Hello kids. We'd like to do one of Andew's songs. This is called Hey Maria." (I just checked the bootleg audio).

- why would Gord say "We'd like to do one of Andrew's songs" if he was fronting Andrew's band?!?

I haven't downloaded the video to verify but please don't tell me my memory is that fried.

Sorry for any confusion.

I'm not telling you that your memory is fried, but Gord comes out on stage with Andrew Cash and his band. He takes one microphone and says, "Hello kids. We'd like to do one of Andew's songs..."

Who knows why Gord says a lot of what he says? Download the video as it's a good one.

Damn stupid failing memory. At this rate in five years I'll be arguing with my son that Gord fronts Wilco and Jeff Tweedy fronts The Hip.

I'd love to d/l the show Chris but I don't have a DVD burner....yet (maybe when I move to a Mac).

Again, sorry for the confusion. I'll shut up now.

You can still watch the show without a burner, you just need player software. I've had good luck with PowerDVD.

But in the interim... here's a clip of the performance... featuring the line you quoted: Save this 3.2mb linked file

No worries, it's just, well... for a man of your... "experience," you need to move from the bong back to the papers. Oh, and don't mix that stuff with the blue pills... sure, they'll stiffen one part, but only further soften the memory. Smile

I typed "Angry Old Man" into Google Images to get a photo to illustrate my point, but I got these... which are funnier anyway:
